How do you folks go for sizing? Your usual true to size, or up/down a size? I'm generally a XXL in IH jackets but they can run a tad larger than I'd like.

I’m an XXL and I went all the way down to L for this one, it fits great. I may not be able to layer as much  which shouldn’t be an issue with how warm the jacket it is but it belled out too much at the bottom and middle for my taste otherwise.

I did! It fits a treat, really cozy as well. Def a bit of a tradeoff in terms of how long you can tolerate the sleeves being in the interest of getting more space in the shoulders to make layering stuff underneath easier but a UHF feels great on underneath and that's probably the most important part

It's true - I wore it yesterday but it wasnt quite freezing so I just went with the tan work shirt underneath:

What are these guys like in the rain? Is this water resistant?

Because the whipcord weave is so dense, they are water resistant, but definitely not waterproof….

@Dmart @endo how did you guys size this? Typical UHF size or down one/two? A few of these somehow ended up in the outlet and someone’s finding it hard to resist. Asking for a friend you know…
The friend wears XXL UHFs and is eyeing an XL.

@weftyarn it really is a great coat. I am between M and L in UHF‘s, mostly M and wear size M in the coat. Fits perfectly!

I have it in XL, as all my IH jackets and most shirts. Go for it, it‘s wonderful.

I have a turkish tailoring lady here around. She is great, does everything with perfection, the Iron Heart way of alterations.
