So what I’m understand from prior conversation, it’s best to err on the side of comfort fit vs. trim fit with this fabric as there is next to zero stretch.

I did wear a cord tuxedo once with the ole IH cord western shirt and these. Fortunately I don't have a cord trucker or I would have caught fire!

Mine don't seem stretchy at all. I generally wash my IH infrequently and at low temp on gentle cycle so can't speak to shrinkage.

Given my experience with these, I am likely going with a 35 waist….I typically go 32-34 in denim and other Cotton IH bottoms

Good piece of advice @Dstauffer
I wear a waist size 32.5” in all three pairs of 888s I have. Thinking I’ll go for the tag size 33 in these. They have a waist of 33.4 that should give me some comfort in a slightly lower rise 634.

@goosehd The brown's are 100% mine if there is one to spare after the rush! I am in looooveeeeee.

Sizing wise. I am pretty much a solid tag 34 in all IH denim and go tiggghhht in the waist for stretch.

With the 730 chinos I took a tag 36 and would have taken a tag 36 in things like the 502-OLV also and I will 100% be going with the tag 36 in these also.

@Graham thanks for the insight! I’ve been kinda curious how the brown cords compare to the duck canvas fabric color wise…curious why you are more fired up about the brown vs. the beige…

You are very welcome. The brown is very ducky and I am personally obsessed with that colour growing up with Dickies and Carhartt. The beige is just as awesome but I worry what I would pair it with. Duck brown just wins every time for me.

It sure is possible. I was toying with taking both pairs home to show the Mrs this weekend and could have done them plus some duck 816's from home but we will have to wait until Monday to show ya.

would it be safe to size similar to the 888d in these based on the non existent stretch? it looks like the 888d are pretty similar waist measurements but I am conflicted if I should go with my true 38 which is what I wear in 888s-21, 555sbg, 555s-od and the 888d…. any advice?

upon further though, I am going to measure all my denims this weekend and average the waist size and pick from there. I think sizing up may be the way to go

@hgering27 thats an excellent plan. I’m going to do the same. Thinking having .5-.75 over my denims should give me the comfort zone necessary. I never wear a belt in my 888s cause they fit so well. And a belt that high up on the high rise seems uncomfortable. Maybe time to bring back the belt for these bad boys!

@Mizmazzle shout out at some great questions on this thread!  I’m also very intrigued on how the brown color way compares to the duck.  I was leaning towards the beige mostly to vary up the color ways in the closet but with how different the two fabrics are, not sure how much this will factor.

Measured the waist of all my 888s (D, HXS, OD) and got a spot on 33" measurement (Stretched with wear)
Measured a lower rise pair of Tellasons I have (Front 9.5" and Rear 14.5") and that waist measures at 34.25"

What I believes that aggregates to is a tag size 33 (33.4") or tag size 34 (34.1") being the right call for me...maybe even tag 35...which, I suppose is still not very definitive haha.

Drinking coffee, measuring jeans and smokin bowls...my kinda lazy Saturday morning!

Yeah I did some measuring myself and even though I buy my denim at preferred size 38” waist after stretch I’m measuring at ~39” so I think I’m going to size up, seems like the right move
