@Paul9221 did you ever get your Mr. Lous in the Natural CXL? I’ve been drooling over those lately and wondering what you think of your so far?

Hey @Dmart those Mr. Lou’s in natural cxl are so sick. I’ve never had a pair of engineers before but am really diggin these!! What do you think of that leather? Seems like the evo would be really cool to watch develop.

They are great @Mizmazzle . The leather is getting only better with wear. They became soft and molded around my foot. The leather gets darker over the time and picks up indigo. If you have specific questions, let me know.

Hey folks. Here on a recomendation from the great @Oaktavia.

I noticed the other day during a clean that my left boot was missing all the nails at the far lip of the sole. Is this like an imminent failure issue that I should address (and how?) immediately or more meh?

No, the glue on it's own is mostly enough to keep the sole attached. The stitching helps and nails too but I would not be worried if the nails are missing (imo).

We will not be restocking this exact boot but a brown Mister Lou will be back in stock. We are going to be running brown veg-tanned horsehide instead of brown CXL. We are hoping that they will be ready in about 5-6 months time. Will we update here when we know a more accurate time frame.

Would love to try a pair of these IRL, quite imporant to know the fit on foot. I have quite demanding feets with high arches

I was pleased with the results of my horsehide pair of these that I will now follow suit with these. Here are before photos. I have had this pair for just shy of three years.

Edit: After leather oil! Oh me oh my how soft and nice they are now.

@Oaktavia Those look pretty good and only need another treatment. Your black ones look much better, but still need at least another treatment and probably two. It's just my opinion though.

@Oaktavia I would wait until tonight and give them a coat before you go to bed. Check them again in the morning and see how they look? The shafts look pretty good and don't think you need much more. Maybe a coat and even then, they're not that bad.

The heels on the brown boots look dry.

The black ones definitely need a few more coats. Shafts look decent, but the lowers need some more to drink...just my $.02
