Nope, up before daylight and using flying fish. We often do that because poppers and stick baits are virtually useless in the dark. And I’d rather be fishing than sleepingg ???

Had a stellar afternoon.  Szymon whooped my arse with 3 to my one.  But we had a ball and came back champions for the day, the biggest and the most…..

My largest of the week so far

I went to see this one weighed, it came in at 58kg, so we were definitely over-estimating the weight of fish earlier in the week (isn't that always the way  )

Habib was our captain yesterday and again this morning.  We walked the floor yesterday, and had a ball this morning.  He is the happiest man in the village…..It's a lovely story actually, he is really a captains mate, but it was a day of worship yesterday, so many of the more devout captains were in the Mosque, so he was promoted for the day.  We ended up trouncing all the other boats with "proper" captains, Habib was on cloud nine all afternoon and evening, whenever I caught a snippet of one of his conversations "Champions" was frequently heard. And on the way home last night, we had to stop and chat to every boat on the water, 1) to ask how many they had caught and 2) to show them how we had done  Szymon and I asked for him again today - he is now even happier......
