@Jeanmoreau ah, apologies!  I misread your posts.

If that's the case, the thigh will definitely firm up but, I'm worried about your waist.  If you hike up your current 34, how loose are they?  You can get 1" of stretch in the waist easy.  I've gotten as much as 2" out of the 21oz fabric, but it won't go beyond that.

      Blanket-line all the things!!!

It’s really hard to tell what your fit is actually like without seeing where the jeans sit on your waist, or how they fit through the hip. With your shirt untucked, we can’t really see the jeans. That said, I assume a 33 would still fit.

@sabergirl is right, it's really tough to guess without seeing the waist.  Can you tuck that shirt in, hike the pants up to the right height (probably so the waist comes up to just under your belly button), and show us how much room you have in the waist?

I'm not hiking them up because they are never actually hiked up. Even if I wear a belt, they always go down to there due to how my stomach curves.

Also I'll point out that this is in 80 degree weather and they don't even feel hot.

Also notice the bulge on the left side thigh. That is from the back pocket. I wonder how many people actually use these to ride motorcycles because I wish the back pockets were normal.

I rode motorcycles for 25 years and the 634s were the single most comfortable jeans for me to wear while riding. I might be wrong, but I think they were the original jeans or the first cut that Haraki designed with riding in mind. I’ve also found the 555s to be quite comfortable on the bike as well. I don’t know what the answer to your specific problem is, but I would have to agree that those jeans don’t look like they fit you very well, and therefore are probably not very comfortable.

Again stating my bumble opinion, they simply look a size or so too big in my eyes.

I think the rise is the problem.  It doesn’t look like a high rise suits your body type.  It’s easier to see with your shirt tucked in.

I agree with the others I think they are too big. I can pull my 888 cut to about an inch and a half below my lowest rib…

@Jeanmoreau Matt raises a good point.  Maybe a non-high-rise cut would fit you better.  Either a 634 or a 777?  Have you tried either of those?

I tried 633 size 33, which I assume is similar to the 634.
The rise felt too low.. plumbers crack.
And the thighs/crotch were a bit too tight. Waist was ok.

Don’t know much about that cut and the SE size chart confuses me.  If you haven’t tried a 634 then I’d give it a go.  It’s the most “normal” fit here and works with most body types.  I really do think that the extra material you’re seeing in the thighs is a result of them sitting lower than intended

@Jeanmoreau do you have a pair of jeans that fit you perfectly? Measure them " the Iron Heart Way" and let's see what you get.

The thing about 633 is that they are vanity sized and the waist is probably like 1.5 inches bigger than the tagged sized after a month's worth of wears. For example my 633 XHS, tagged size 38 measure a 40 after a month of wears. They are meant to be sized down.

Between us here and the help of the (way more experienced than I am) IHUK crew I am sure we can find you something. The XHS should be extremely uncomfortable and difficult to button to get the right fit. If not after you break them in, the waist will be too big. For example, my last pair of XHS took me lying in bed, a spray bottle to wet them, and 30 minutes to get them buttoned the first time. I am not exaggerating.  😎

Honestly these are the best fitting jeans I've ever owned. They fit better than 501 32 (too small) and 33 (too big). They're the only pants I've ever had that I could wear without a belt without being too tight.

If you're not going to wear the high-rise as high-rise, I think it's going to look little sloppy.  Hence the recommendation towards 634/633 or 777.

But if you want to stick with a high rise, dropping one or two sizes will get you a more trim fit while still being comfortable, I think.

And to Filthy's point, the waist should be a little tight at first. It does loosen up with wear.  I always wear a belt to keep the waist from loosening up too much.

Those are a 34, right? I’d give the 634 or 633 in 34 a go. You could probably size down in those 888, and/or just pull them closer to your waist and wear a belt. I think if that pair was pulled up a bit, the fit would look a little better.

I don’t think they look bad. Looser=comfier is sometimes a worth option.

Without trying to beat the horse to death your pair is simply too big. Its hard to tell if a cut will be flattering to your body shape unless its sized right. Any cut sized wrong will not look right. Now if you are going for super comfy? then mission accomplished.

                                        I think I'll go with the 888 21s size 33.
