You kind of have to size down with APC. I really hate their denim. If you blow on it it'll stretch. It's fucking ridiculous that I can stretch out a pair of jeans five inches in the waist when I start out true to size. My APC's are the only jeans I've ever sold.

I always get true to size with IH. I've never had a pair stretch more than an inch, and if they didn't stretch that inch I probably wouldn't be able to sit comfortably

If I really want a slim cut jean, I'll just buy a slim cut jean. I have no desire to make my 634SR look like my SEXIH07

true.  i personally like sizing down because whenever i go true to size my jeans end up being too big for me.

riffblaster, thats because your MOSH game is strong…haha

    stop the mosh..stop the stretch.

for real though..if you skateboard (which i know you do) or ride a bike..that stretches your jeans a TON..playing shows too..all that sweat.

    truth!!

although…i don't have the mosh game on lockdown like i once did.  I leave that to the youngbucks.  Shit hurts now hahaha.

PUT DOWN THAT STARBUCKS, PICK UP THAT GNARBUCKS!!

what's the thought on thigh stretch in 21oz IH selvedge. Say thighs measure 13" (across) new. how much could I expect?

The amount of stress applied is going to determine the stretch.  Some folks' thighs will strech that area of the jean an inch, whereas others will only achieve 1/4 inch.  The denim is loosely woven, which I believe translates to substantial stretch under the right conditions.  13" for a thigh measurement is on the looser side, so they would only be strech by somebody with thighs that large.

I know I've heard people say the thighs of their jeans have streched 1 inch, but I wouldn't say it's common.

              Hope that helps.

I have 36w busters. Thigh 13.2 using this sites measurements.
I am putting stress on them which is why i'm asking. They work for standing around, a little tight walking up stairs. sitting/biking etc they are definitely snug so glad to hear about the stretch. They were cramping up my style when I went bowling recently when my leg kicked up.

                1" meaning from a 26-27 right?

Do the superblacks stretch the same amount as the 634S?

I would say yes. My 9301 have stretched prob an inch in the waist.

                      Hi all.

I've been looking at buying a pair of IH-634S for a while now and have eventually decided to go for it.  My main worry is around sizing and shrinkage, which I still am a little fuzzy on.  I'm usually a 32" waist and 32" leg when I buy my standard fashion type jeans.

Anyway, I've measured a pair of existing jeans which I find fit me pretty well, measurements below:

                      Waist: 33
                      Front Rise: 11.25
                      Rear Rise: 13.5
                      Thigh: 10.5
                      Knee: 9
                      Inseam: 31.5
                      Cuff: 9

From these measurements I'm thinking a size 32 would be good, given that I should expect up to an inch stretch in the waist.  My main concern is leg length.  35" is way too long for me so if I get them factory hemmed at 32" should I expect any shrinkage?

Any size advice or feedback from UK owners would also be greatly appreciated.

Hi there.  They will stretch an inch or so in the waist.  So  I would go with 32, then they will stretch to the size you have measured on an existing pair.

Stick them in the cart and then add chainstitching:

I would even go for a 34" inseam

Because IH denim is so thick, the folds will hold when you're standing upright, so your jeans will appear shorter than they actually are

I know violence is not the answer, I got it wrong on purpose

The thigh measurement seems really really wrong unless you have very very thin legs 🙂  (look closely at the picture of how the thigh is measured!)

                                  Thanks peeps.

Well thanks guys, my fit seems perfect!  I'm loving the both the cut of the jean and quality, you can actually feel the extra quality.

Any advice on washing?  I'm worried I die my trainers or couch blue … is it advisable to wash/soak these straight away?

                                    Thanks.

First of all, I'm the guy who purchased the last pair of 634SR: W28!

They arrived today, with a very nice heart shaped box full of chocolate candies: "The last pair! thank you Giorgio"
                                        Thank you, IH, I say… 😘 ❤ ❤ ❤

                                        Now they are under soaking.

One week ago I had bought a pair of 634S, W29, that fit very good, but maybe a little loose. Perhaps I could have worn a 28, after all.
So, I decided to try the 28 thing with the 634SR. Maybe i made a mistake, but I don't care, I can give them to my sister.

Last night I dreamed about it. In my dream there was Giles with a strange pair of dungarees (surely not 21oz at all) in his hands. He stayed in front of me with these pants and two or three shirts too...
