Agreed @goosehd and @Ness1116 . I can't get my wife into most jazz, but even she loves Kind of Blue.

Miles is one of my favorites of all time. There are some players I like even more, but when it comes to the total package of being a musical visionary, a composer, a great bandleader with a great eye for complementary talent, and the quality of his overall product (especially with his famous septet/quintets), he is unmatched IMO.

One of the best autobiographies in all of music too… You can just hear him narrate his story in that raspy voice.
