@NASA I generally wear mine open over a t-shirt, it's definitely substatial enough to work as an overshirt

Hi @NASA, I second what @LewisStonehouse said on both accounts.  I only just received mine about a week ago so I can't speak from long experience of wearing mine, but I can still say it's an incredibly well made shirt that's just all around damn nice.  I'm looking forward to wearing it with a t-shirt underneath when the fall sets in.  I'd say it's substantial enough to wear as an overshirt in cool weather but it's also still light enough to throw a proper chore coat or some other jacket on top when it gets colder.  I think you'll like it however you decide to wear it though.

And you're in luck, Division Road was apparently holding out to be the loan survivor because they went live with the IHSH-307-OLV a few days ago in all sizes from S to XXL.  Being a seasonal/limited run item, can't say if Iron Heart will do another run.  But they also have the western version releasing soon as well.

Thank you both. Btw the western does look good but I can't believe how much love it gets over this. I guess there is something in that western look that just draws people in..

Appreciate the responses. I was indeed looking for a chore coat as well. Inrekom a dark navy will complement this shirt nicely. But for the fall at least this shirt should be able to hold it's own.

Yes, it's a continuous product so it will be restocked. It's currently in a long list of things we need to rerun, but the factories are busy so we have to drip feed things in around the seasonal releases. This will be over 6 months before the restock

Agreed. This shirt doesn’t get the forum love it deserves, but it’s very versatile while still being rugged. I wear mine to the office all the time.

I have the western but it is a big L and I really needed a small XL… when this comes back I’ll move the western on and replace it with this.

I love mine, but the getting the purple UHF in a work shirt finally convinced me that I look better in that cut.

I’m there too. A consequence of nearing the big 5-0 In my case.

I was worried this one was a little stiff and heavy at first, but I should know better by now - it's softening up beautifully, and showing some nice signs of early evo too.

It's the slimmest-fitting of my 3 work shirts, so probably a good one for western fans looking to try the work cut, but watch that waist measurement!

Decided to conduct a little shrink test of this shirt today. I was happy with the fit over the shoulders, but the chest and opening were a little billowy for me, and the sleeves were a little long. The length was good (I’d originally requested the longest XL the crew had @30inches), but it also afforded me some wiggle room.

As advised by @neph93 (thanks!), I washed at 60C with 700RPM spin.

I was concerned that the wash may cause white abrasion marks, so I thoroughly soaked the shirt before washing. Here are the before and after measurements:

                                  Shoulder - 19.1 // 18.8
                                  Length - 30 // 29.5
                                  Chest - 23.1 // 22.6
                                  Opening - 22.4 // 21.8
                                  Sleeve - 26.2 // 25.5

I’m really happy with the outcome. I seem to have magically ended up with exactly what I needed: shoulders and length of an XL, with the chest/opening/sleeve dimensions between L & XL.

Also, while there has been some fading, it is minimal and in my opinion looks even better than pre-wash. 🙂

Hopefully this will be helpful to anyone looking to get a little shrinkage in certain dimensions with this material.

Photos to hopefully give some idea of the fading that’s occurred.

In real life the green is richer and less grey than my photos suggest. There’s a little bit of puckering and roping around the hem. I’d say this shirt improves with washing. This material is so good.
