I got the J and J vaccine today. I feel pretty weird. It might be because I haven't eaten anything yet today or anxiety about side effects. Been chugging Gatorade like crazy.

Stay hydrated, yo!  I drove myself crazy about the potential side effects. Don't do that to yourself.  Relax, drink lots of water or Gatorade, watch some TV or play some video games.

I guess my vaccine is working… I feel like I can't get warm enough and achy all over. I feel awful.

@Filthy I was a bit rough for a couple of days after mine (moderna), similar kind of stuff. At least now you'll have excellent 5G signal :-\

I got achy and a fever after my second dose of Pfizer. Went away after a day.  Rest.

I laid in bed about four hours moaning until I got the courage to go downstairs and take some Tylenol. I maybe don't feel as bad as I did before.

It seems like the vaccines give you a mini flu that lasts for a day or two without major symptoms.

I feel a lot better now that I took some Tylenol. I think I will be okay by tomorrow.

My second Moderna shot kicked my ass for 48 hours.  I didn't feel too awful, just exhausted.  I was fatigued as hell for the weekend after but felt normal again after a few days.

First Moderna shot- no effect whatsoever. Second Moderna shot- flu-like symptoms the next day; fatigue, body aches, slight nausea. Totally fine by the second day.  My wife had zero effects after both Moderna shots, my son had zero effects after both Pfizer shots. Kind of a crap shoot on what, if any, side effects you'll have, I guess.

My experience of it was like when you're starting to feel a flu coming on, but for like a full 24 hours.  Like your throat doesn't hurt yet, but you know it's about to start hurting.  Or you're not totally feverish, but your temp control is weird and you feel a tiny bit achy.  I was super tired with major brain-fog too, so I took lots of naps and abandoned my attempts to work from home.

I've heard people who got nothing, and people who were destroyed for a day or so.  Hydrate, sleep and it will pass!

I had bad symptoms after my first Astra Zeneca shot.  When I went back for the 2nd dose, the doc said, Astra Zeneca hits you hard after the 1st jab, but the second is fine (and I had no symptoms after the second jab), Moderna is the other way around….

That was my experience with Moderna.  I drove 2000 miles the day after my first one and couldn’t take 3 steps off the couch after the second.

About 2 days after my first fully vaccinated maskless trip to Walmart I caught all the colds.

I had the Phizer shot and the first had no real effects, the second wipes me out fatigue wise for like a day or so, but nothing else really

I had one beer and two slices of pizza and felt completely nauseous. I didn't even finish my second beer.

I read somewhere that it's recommended you not drink for a few days after the vaccines. Nothing formal in writing but lots of doctors recommend you abstain.

I got drunk after both Pfizer doses … which resulted in hangovers that were hard to distinguish from any side effects
