One other question. Did those that purchased these shorts find themselves having to size down or, at least, wishing they had sized down from their normal IH jean size?

Not me, and they're cargo's, much better a tad loose than a tad tight imo

I’m a 33” waist. Got a size 32 in the beige shorts from Burg & Shield.
When it arrived I had to trade it in for the 34.If in doubt, get the bigger size I would say.

I also once had a 34 but switched to 36 for a more comfortable fit
@BrianA yes, they got pretty light. I found a picture that illustrates it quite well.

Is it possible to swap out the standard buttons for IH metal doughnut buttons? They are standard on work pants and I think they'd work great on these, though they might sit a bit prone on side pockets… Just a thought, and wondering whether it's possible. Cheers fellas. -

I’ve been wearing these a lot this summer, and besides my 463, they are my favorite fitting IH bottoms. What are the chances of there ever being another cargo or work pant with this relaxed top block? Key is the low front/high back rise combo with a roomy thigh.
