Glad you guys made the podcast happen. First ep was a great opener. I really enjoy hearing people’s backstories & this was no exception. Great insight into the brand & the people behind it. Love you guys even more! Looking forward to future eps.

          @Filthy:

But my main takeaway is I probably shouldn't be suggesting "tweaks" to overalls or other stuff anymore because it probably isn't ever gonna happen. I was under the (incorrect) impression that the Crew just told Haraki what to make and he does. Like more of a collaboration. Sorry @Alex @Giles  🙂

          Suggestions are always good.

And as I said in the podcast, over 50% of what we stock is stuff we have dreamt up and asked H to make.  The point I was trying to make is that there is a good way and there is a bad way of initiating the discussion with him.

BAD - Please make exactly this.
GOOD - We thought that something like this would sell well in the West, we think that it fits with the IH aesthetic, what do you think? lf you agree, we would love to see your spin on it.

We had a bunch of people a few years ago that really got pissed off that this was too nice a place to be.  Very few of them are still members because most of them were complete ***** (may start with C and may end with S)….

They even started a parallel forum called something like "the real fucking Iron Heart Forum where you can call people cunts if you want to".  They thought it would rule the world.

Well, guess what?  Get fucked losers.....

Really love that the forum is such a nice place to be… but it's ok too if you guys would mention it if I sometimes wear stuff that I look silly with  😉

God has blessed you richly, so get down on your knees and thank him. Don’t forget the less fortunate or God will personally kick your ass. I’d love to do it for him, but I can’t be everywhere. Willie Nelson

Well there was that one pic from a few years back when you were wearing a suit. Yucky.

We have this weirdo on the forum who's fanatical about these overalls. He has mentioned he hopes he can die in them so they will become his "ghost clothes". Can you please make some UHR overalls with silver buttons?

Wasn’t there a plan to have articulated silver buttons done by GAH?

Also, I love your ghost clothes idea…. we could do a thread [emoji1]

And I guess using the N-1 tack buttons would not work?

Listened today to the podcast–-bravo guys!
Informative---casual, to the point just well done all around.

Didn't know Haraki was such a big part of Edwin before doing his own thing.
I don't think Ive ever seen anybody wearing a pair here on the Forum yet.
I bought a pair of Edwin 55s 14oz a good 5-6 months before I heard of Iron heart ( which changed everything).

After I bought my first pair of 666-21s I never did go back to the Edwins.
Im thinking of busting them out to put into rotation now that its warming up.
Would like to see how they fade after all.

Funny thing is...there are some small details in the Edwins that are so Haraki now that I look at them closer.
Cant wait to hear what's coming up next on the podcast.

Just so everybody is on the same page, I mean like the plated brass silver jeans buttons instead of the bronze.

                              These ones.

I definitely enjoyed the 1st episode!  I know that Giles touched on the topic of Triple Works a bit and I'm just curious about the history of Free Bee and how it came about and how it played a role in the evolution of Iron Heart as a brand.  I'd like to hear the backstory if anyone would be willing to share.

I never really got to the bottom of FreeBee, other than I think it was an early version of Triple Works.  By that I mean, stuff that H wanted to make, but did not think it fitted in with the IH aesthetic…..

Just listened to first episode on a walk.  Awesome stuff.  Didnt think I would be interested in a podcast about denim but its about much more really.  biggest revelation to me is that @Giles pronounces his name like "Jiles" I always pronounced it like "Jeels".  Must be the Canadian in me assuming it would sound like the the french Gilles.  Anyway, great podcast and looking forward to more.
