One of my father's friends went to get his first Coronavirus vaccine shot last week.

When it was his turn he asked the nurse, "Will my arm be sore after this?"

She replied, "No, it won't be sore?"

The he asked, "Will I be able to play the violin afterwards?"

And she replied, "Yes, you'll be able to play the violin."

To which he responded, "That's good, because I can't play it now!"

I took my mom to get the first shot of the Moderna vaccine today. I was kind of disappointed there were no lines or tents or anything crazy. She's allergic to the flu vaccine, but she hasn't had any adverse reactions… so far.

Been over 14 months since I have had the covid…
Someone from work caught it.
Every one has go for a test

I had the test first time.. it’s was playing on mind.

Came back negative....

@neph93  We are all getting better. Pop was down to only 5 percent. Now he is talking and knows what is going on.

My 75 year old mother got her first jab early today ( in th UK )

Only a sore arm with no other side effects, it was the Pfizer/BioNTech one.

I hope we all get one in the near future, take care and stay safe.

I got my second shot of the Moderna vaccine last week and wanted to report back. I definitely had side effects this time.
Got the shot around noon, by 7 that night my arm was swollen and very sore- certainly worse than with the first dose and it only took a few hours to get there this time vs a day or two for the first dose. That night I had chills and a low grade fever. The next day I felt very run down and fatigued, the worst I’ve felt since I had cancer ~16 years ago. Still managed a short hike, but I was absolutely wiped out after. Slept really well that night, and felt significantly better the next day, did a similar length hike and felt a lot more there. The next day I did a medium length trail run and was feeling a lot better.
Most of my coworkers got the Moderna vaccine and had a similar reaction to the second dose, but it sounds like everyone was feeling better after a day or two. I’d rather have that than the reported ongoing side effects of the coronavirus itself. But who knows, maybe I’ll grow a tail in a month or two!

Update we are all doing a lot better. The twins are over it. Pop is now out of the hospital in rehab to get his strength  back.
