Just back from some demolition looking at how scruffy you all are…....

I should elaborate a little. This is from last night when Norwegians celebrate. It is a relatively formal gig with some strict traditions. Dinner on the table at 5pm, suit and tie for the men, presents afterwards.

Today is much more like Boxing Day in the UK.

Normally, there would be a few more of us around the table on Christmas Day.  The 16lb turkey is in the freezer, and we did a 3lb chicken…..

Final Holiday Tradition. New Years Day I make Eggs Benedict ala Sam. I use flaky biscuits, left over filet of beef from last night. poached eggs, béarnaise sauce.

Holy Sheeeeeiiiittttt, that looks absolutely sublime. Glass of good red with it would work well too, what with the steak.

Our second traditional advent dinner is pork rib with white sausage, sourkraut, stewed apples and prunes, and so on. Very fatty, very good.

Soon… very soon. We had to ditch that tradition this year due to the new house amongst other things, however I will be making and eating that on the 25th. Very much looking forward to it.
