    @Giles:

Believe it or not, this my all-time most useful IH piece.  It is warm, functional, light, can take an absolute beating.  I wear it fishing under my waders when it is cold, I go boat fishing in it, I garden in it and I laboured in it when we built the extension.  But I could pop this in the wash now and it would come out looking brand new - it's amazing…

I was going to say the same thing @jordanscollected –--a great review @Giles

      😃 😃 😃

We do not sell a ton outside of Japan (like most of our technical gear actually).

But I am pretty sure anyone who has had one will say that it is an amazing piece.

It also makes a bloody good pillow when I camp 🙂

I would say I'm going to buy one, but it's getting pretty close in price to the N1 I lust after, and i still haven't crossed that off the wish list.

I would love this for a start to winter jacket.

Do you own anything with the Primaloft in it? I have the CPO shacket and it is WARM! Like warm warm. If I wear it under my m65 I can take whatever our horrible upper midwest winters throw at us. Just saying… But I too have either an N-1 or one of those B-2 (oh no i just checked the outlet and they are gone!!! :'() on my list...

I wore my N-1 like two times last winter. Just kept grabbing my primaloft IHJ-08. Granted, I live in NC. But the stuff is super warm!

At some point, i will buy one of these…  I can imagine as G said, this would be, averaging the cost per wear, one of the most useful purchases from IH.

Was the restock 1 of each size for M and L? Will there be anymore on the way? Or did other retailers get a restock?

We did not take many because our technical stuff just does not sell very well. There may be a few more arriving in about 10 days if Haraki allows us to steal some of his…....

I read you machine wash your IHJ-38 at 30 or 40C.
Could you tell what spin cycle, if any?

Whatever the machine spins at on those temp cycles.  Probably pretty fast.

                            Thanks G.
I was thinking the wool/hand wash program (30C) since the label says hand wash.
The program has default 800rpm spin cycle, so should be okay.

Btw, as stated many times before by others, it is an amazing jacket!

Back from a 10 day, 3000 km motorcycle trip in the mountains. Wore my 79 layered under a mesh jacket whenever temps dropped under 16 deg C. What a great looking, versatile and warm item it is!

Wish my home town weather would let me wear it more.
There is a super cool sticker somewhere in that image.

This jacket is a jewel for motorcyclists:

                                    • very wind resistant and warm under a motorbike jacket
                                    • packs small and light (+ no wrinkles)
                                    • thin & slippery so won’t bulk up at the arms, armpits nor chest while putting on your outer jacket
                                    • looks GOOD on its own when you are off the bike without your outer jacket

Don’t hesitate…only downside is it makes me wish I lived somewhere cooler/colder!

                                    The journey is the objective.

I think this jacket would be damn nice and even more functional with a zippered pocket in collar that contains a hood just like the M-65 jackets.

@cityofdelusion I have some jackets with thin zip in hoods and rarely use them (I also understand that you didn't ask for my opinion on the idea). It does add some nice rigidity to the collar though.

On this topic, when Haraki debuted the FW/21 collection on Intagram in Japan, he showed an IHJ-79 with a hood. I asked @Giles about it and he said that they didn't bring it over here because they never got to get their hands on a sample before they ordered their collection. I think it was called the IHJ-102 or similar. I've tried to track down more info on it with no luck.
