When people walk by and see the MD license plate you’d think it said Mars instead. We are a curiosity to the locals with our slick duded up city ways. If we can make it through Election Day without an uprising or secession I’ll be content. Of course depending how it goes, I could be the one wrecking shit up in here. I can show them how we do civil unrest in Baltimore.

We haven’t been hiking in a long while. Cleburne State Park was a great way to get ready for Big Bend Natl Pk. We’re staying in the park for that one, our first Natl Park camping. In the meantime today was a great way to experience some hiking that was a lot different than what we’re used to…

Waco Mammoth National Monument is an active archaeological dig site for Colombian Mammoths, the largest of the mammoths. These fossils have only partially absorbed the minerals from the rock so they are still part bone. This was a nursery herd and it’s they only one found in North America…

A well run campaign Mr Trump. One conducted with honor, integrity and dignity. Good luck in your future endeavors.
Now that history has been made let’s see more firsts when we find out just how much damage a lame duck president can actually do in 2 and a half months.
I'm holding my breath until Mcconnell or someone from the Trump camp admits defeat.

Time for a disclaimer. This thread was not intended to be a forum for political discussions. That said, those discussions are welcome here within the rules of the Forum itself. I only mention this in case anyone who graces this topic with their patronage should be offended by anything already written by me or anyone else, not because I have been offended by anything that has already been posted.
That said, please feel free to continue bashing the shit stain. Or praising him, what the hell do I care?

Back on topic for a minute. We accomplished quite a bit this weekend. The aforementioned mystery leak that was soaking the bathroom floor turned out to be a failure in our city inlet. It only took several weeks of troubleshooting and $150 for an RV repairman who came highly recommended but ended up not knowing or doing shit but we finally fixed it for a total of $35 and some elbow grease. This is the way. The exhaust fan on our composting toilet gave out. This fan is what draws the odor out of the bin and redirects it into our black tank. The past week or so has been unpleasant to say the least. The mfg sent us two new fans for free. I guess that’s the least you can do when you charge $1000 for a plastic bucket that you poop in. We also sent in a ton of paperwork to get the truck and trailer registered in TX. Once we do that we can get our licenses and be done with TX for a while, no offense. @Chris was right, there’s not much here and I’m ready for a more diverse and engaging landscape. This campground is a bit of a soul sucker too. There’s no other campers here and the facilities are pretty basic. This should have been a 1 week spot, not 2. We got a lot done though and we’re looking forward to moving further into the dessert on our way to Big Bend.
Totally unrelated. We watched The Trial of the Chicago 7 on Netflix last night. Check it out. Tonight, all Mando!
