IHSH-218-BLK - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt "The Johnny Cash III" - Superblack

Anybody care to comment on the feel/breathability of this shirt?

I’ve got the IHSH-07 which is also 12oz so interested in hearing how this compares. To me that shirt has a very dense weave (I’ve dubbed it “the windbreaker”).

Weight only tells part of the story when it comes to how items feel when worn: my UHFs are also 12oz but are feel like the comfiest of sweaters, the 10oz chambray is comfortable even on warm days. Is this shirt similar to the 07 when worn, or a very different beast entirely?

I would say that above 65-70 degrees is probably the point where you might start sweating. I’m in the NYC area and it’s pretty good October- April.

This is less warm than a UHF and warmer than the chambray used in the IHSH-13/21

It is. For some reason, the denim on this one isn't as breathable as the other 12oz denim shirts I own from Iron Heart. I shan't be doing that again. Sometimes you gotta just try something even though you know it's a bad idea.

@AdamJ out of interest, has the sizing on this restock changed at all?

I'm just personally curious as to what led me in April this year to buy the large, when the Medium now seems more than adequate, I usually aim for 21.6'' plus P2P. I love it, alot in fact, but I always wish it was a tad more fitted.

@GC sizing chart was slightly tweaked for this run, I've now linked in the restock post. We only do entirely new charts when necessary.

I had a similar issue with my Medium being a bit roomy in the P2P but a hot wash saw to that.

…just took delivery of my 'Johnny Cash 3'. I am so fortunate that a XXXXL is an absolute perfect fit for me, if my P2P were just a couple of inches larger I would be out of luck.

I am little confused with Johnny Cash III measurements now. I bought one last year from Statement Store as XXXL, it fits good. So this shirt is for me as reference shirt for Western cut. I am now preparing to get new western shirt and noticed in comparing function that Johnny Cash III measurments are all „shifted“ to more big size….smth like old XXXL measurments are now XXL.
