@goosehd , this is an incredible story, I'm glad you made it out OK, and as you said it's a Christmas that you'll all remember in your own ways. Upstate and Western NY have similar stories going on. I'm sure the Caribbean vacation is looking good. Stay safe.

Thank you all for the well wishes. I’ve spent the last day catching up on the news and didn’t know the situation was that bad and widespread. Stories all across the U.S. and Canada of people stuck in cars, walking through snow and blizzard conditions to find shelter, and houses catching fire and burning down by people just trying to keep warm.
In the broad picture, we made it out very easy and my heart goes out to those less fortunate.

So sorry brother–very happy that you made it through that mess, and sad for those who didn't.

@motojobobo @goosehd some pics from the ranch today. Winter coats, happy horses that need hay soon. They love this 35 degree weather and Nola was actually sweating from her training indoors today. My horse Beau is top of the herd, and get first pick of eating spot at the hay feeders. They head down a depression into the trees to escape the wind, but everyone made it through the brutal cold this past week in full health.

@jordanscollected Great pictures of the horses and barn. They certainly look comfortable as do you!!

Woke up to a blanket of heavy slow the likes of which I haven’t experienced since Minnesota. Shit’s like concrete. Had to work the blower to keep it from stalling and stop to clear it out several times and I didn’t even do the whole house. Doing the deck with a shovel was a ton of fun for my back too

@mclaincausey Where's your kid???

In the 526J-SL and 777N trying to figure out how to deal with a muddy area of the yard. Maybe cedar pathway?
Same denim on both. One has seen more wear.

Quite an eventful day. Last day on the island, went for a quick morning walk at sunrise:
For the first time in over 30 years going there, I spotted a stranded seal pup.
The island has a dedicated rescue station, they picked it up but were unsure if it could be saved.
On the way back home, we finally drove by Nijmegen during the opening hours of https://black-and-blue.shop/.
Lucky for my wallet, the IHSB-ANJ4 in XXL they had didn't fit me. And they didn't have any denim in 36… So I just went with a pair of Stetson gloves. -
thank you, @weftyarn - coming from the master of photography, that's nice to hear
I blame it on the iPhone camera, though. The built in camera software kind of shoots the photos on its own. I just try to maintain symmetry. But the light is always fantastic with the sun and the beach.In other news: The seal pup could be saved, we're going to visit the rescue station when we're back in Feburary.

A pic from the trails this weekend.
Today is day 2 of a pretty wonderful snow event. I could stare out the window all day.
