Waist is snug and these are the same size as my 555 14oz. These are a tag 32 waist 33.3 actual. My best fitting jeans are 34.25. Thoughts on the fit please. Thanks

Fit looks spot on for me 👍 such a great pair.

I’ve got a few pairs of 555’s but the s-21 are the trickiest to get correct think I’ve had 3 pairs either to big in the waist  or the pair I have now snug in the waist no belt needed as 1” stretch to be expected with wear but there just that bit tight on the thigh hopefully when I get round to wearing them often they stretch out a tad too..

Thanks for your reply and comment mate. Do you have them hemmed or just turn them up. I’m considering leaving them??

I’m 6ft 1 so I don’t get them hemmed after having my 555xhs turned up and my boots rubbing through the cuffs I leave them down on my other pairs now.

The waist a 1” stretch  I took that into consideration when ordering my 3rd pair but didn’t think enough about the thigh Measurements. If I’m not mistaken if it’s not under pressure it won’t stretch but my pair where there snug in the thigh I may get a bit of wiggle room but nothing major.

Maybe a tad large, but I think going down a size I’d never get them buttoned. I plan to always wear a belt and they’re not exactly under crazy tension. So maybe not a ton of stretch will happen?

Down a size also looks like it would be too snug in the thighs and too low a rise.

I also definitely plan to just wash them fairly frequently with my job. It’s graphite, so filthy

They will stretch. At least an inch, tension or not. The simple act of moving around in a loose woven fabric will ensure that.

They look a little big to me, but if you feel they’ll be constricting a size down in a work environment then they may be the right size for you.

If you favour a more relaxed cut then the 888 may be the one for you.

I think waist would be ideal a size down possibly. But the thighs and knees would be too snug for comfort, and I think with how these fight to get over my calves coming off, I’d end up stuck wearing a size down for the rest of my life. The rise also looks a little too close to low for my comfort. Is it possibly if I just wash them warm and hope that keeps the stretch to a minimum?

I tried the 888 one other time, and at least the pair I had just billowed out over the crotch and I’d never be allowed to walk in a super market.

I think they look fine. The 555 is a tough cut to fit for me too, because the waist gapes if I can squeeze my thighs in there. 888 is the best of all worlds IMO.

The team is sending a pair of 38s, I’ll send back whichever fits worse. I love the 888 in theory, and every other brand of denim I’ve got, high rise to the belly button, love it. 888 doesn’t sit right for me. 633 does, so maybe I’d love the 634. They’re just so W I D E

Secret for me with the 888 was embracing hiking them all the way up to my waist and keeping them there with a belt. Otherwise they did tend to slip down a bit or dig into my belly in a weird way. One of my pairs does fit way better than the others, though.

Hope you find a pair that you can get along with! Of course any pair will only get better once it has time to settle and mold to your body.

So my 5 month baby decided it was time to spray poop on my 555's from the waist in a dashed line all the way down to the hem on the left leg.

I wiped most of it carefully off (I thought) and thought it was better to let the rest dry instead of smearing it out too much. Now I'm afraid I should have washed them directly to avoid any permanent color changes along the "pattern".

At first I thought perhaps I could wipe it off and wear them more before their first wash, now more than a week after the incident I realised that the stains are still visible and there's no way I could/should/would wear these jeans until washing them properly.

I was about to share photos but realised no one needs to see this mess.  😃

If you have pretreatment for stains or a tide pen, go to town on them first. I’m afraid leaving them sitting that long may have set a stain.

Thank you for the tip! We have a new washing machine that "auto doses" from 2 tanks containing detergent and fabric softener. I need to learn this new machine to turn off the fabric softener before I run it tonight.

If they're permanently stained I guess my 555's will at least have their own fade horror story from now on.  😎
