@Mizmazzle How are the Lofgrens working out with your wardrobe? You mentioned being worried about styling them without cuffs on your jeans. How is that working out for you? Do you end up putting cuffs in or are ya rocking them without?

Man as soon as I saw them all my apprehension about not fitting my style just disappeared. Instantly felt like they were perfect! Honestly haven’t had a chance to really wear them yet. Been like 100 degrees in Denver. Off on another fishing trip. Gonna throw some jeans on with the boots when I get back. I’ll post some pics fo sho!!

I’m glad to hear that man! That is exactly the way I felt about them!! I bet you will figure out how to make them work. It seems to dress up an outfit without cuffs and dress down an outfit with. I think I wear mine without cuffs most of the time.

@mclaincausey Denver what what!!? Glad it cooled down today!! XHS and boots?? Hell yes!!!Took some pics this am. Did a compare/ contrast with my Wesco Morrrisons.
Curious, heel slip became less in my Wescos as they broke in. Will heel slip lesson with this Natural CXL? The boots actually feel a bit roomier today. Only the second time trying them on still. Haven’t worn them outside yet.

My heel slip mostly went away with time. You can also poke more holes in the counter strap to ratchet up the tightness if you need to.

Im wearing pretty thin socks. Not dress sick thin, but the thinner Darn Toughs. I’m wondering how my stretch that Natural CXL will have. They feel damn good now, maybe ever so slightly loose. Of the leather stretches a bunch they might get looser. Guess I’m wondering if anyone with this leather/ boot can attest to the stretch they have gotten over time…

@Mizmazzle Yeah man those are the causeways! Mine didn’t have much slip to begin with but the more I wear them the better they seem to fit. Great comparison photos by the way!!

@Memphisakers I’ve read every article/ review I could find as well as any YouTube videos and forum threads haha. I thought it was interesting in the article you shared how he doesn’t like CXL leather, especially the natural. Guess we all have our preferences and tastes. It was my first CXL so I’ve been way stoked on it.

@Mizmazzle That surprised me too!! I may like the natural cxl even more than the shinki on the causeways. I think it is a really comfortable leather for engineers too! And patina monsters… those pictures in his review don’t even look like the same leather. I had to go back and double check before I posted those pictures

Yeah it looks like a straight brown cxl at that point In his evo. @Memphisakers do you have the Lofgren engineers in Natural CXL too? We’re so many posts in at this point I can’t keep it all straight anymore. Haha. I’ve got one year to get some nice patina on these babies before next summers wedding. Just no super rough stuff. Color but no scratches says the future misses. Well, hell then!!!
