Some more impressions of our hiking vacations in the Tramuntana Mountains of Mallorca. I miss it already!

*Sorry for completely spamming this thread. I have a problem selecting photos 😂

As always, Fuji 23mm was on the camera for 99% of the time.

I love the aesthetic of mediterranean islands,
            such intensive and warm colors.

I only recently learned about Ernst Haas, an Austrian photographer. His „movement photography“ amazes me… It so much shows that „technically perfect“ sometimes is the worst enemy of a great photo.

                Some impressive shutterbugs round here.

Thought I’d share Edward S. Curtis in case any are unfamiliar. Shot a lot of Native Americans from 1900-1930. Beautiful stuff.

                Think it, be it.

I had an acquaintance of sorts,by the name of Nancy Ricca Schiff, who was a professional portrait photographer. We had a mutual friend. Anyway from time to time she would give advice on my photography, and occasionally tell me some of her life stories, and one of which I never forgot was when she was working on a book called Celebrating The Eighties, for which she was doing portraits of famous octogenarians, one who happened to be her all time photography idol…Ansel Adams. She recalled how she had never been more nervous about anything in her entire life, and he couldn’t have been nicer, doing everything to make her at ease. She has 2 other books, Odd Jobs and Odder jobs. Haven’t seen or thought about her in years. You just, for some reason, jogged my memory.

                      What an awesome story, @Jett129

I cant even imagine what it feels like standing in front of such a legend being asked to shoot a portrait. I’d probably have put the camera in auto everything to not completely mess up the shot 😂

While we’re at it, here’s some shots I took on my most recent business trip to Dresden - what a wonderful city.

great shots @weftyarn I also like Dresden, the mixture of baroque, socialist and contemporary architecture - I've been quite close during the last days in Leipzig, which I find amazing, with it's mixture of modern and Wilhelminian

Hope this photographically amateurish contribution doesn't annoy here - I'm probably more a traveller taking photos than a photographer travelling.

@weftyarn I love photography that just sort of stops me in my tracks, and forces me to keep on looking to try and make up my own story as to what I imagine is taking place. You crushed it with these. Good job.

@endo That is an understatement. You did the „Traveller who takes photos“ really well 👌🏼😃 Makes me look forward to my stay in Leipzig even more! I’ll be in town in two weeks for the OT World, one of, if not the most important fair for orthopedics, medical technology etc.

Any recommendations on how to spend the evenings?

Didn’t want to have to factor in skin tone and texture into my editing process,so I got my assistant/wife to wear a pair of sky blue gloves. I’m very happy with the results.
