Yeah; it’s been my dream. There’s a 1 year only model of the 960 called the V90 that is still RWD where they gave it independent rear suspension. I look at auto tempest once a day to see if any pop up, as well as 850r wagons. I’ve got a 16v DOHC head for a Volvo red block. Throw a turbo on it and with low pressure should be able to clear 250hp. Would be nice to get a v90 and a turnkey LS3 :))

At long last, my headlights are installed and my fridge arrived. Now waiting on my aux tank to arrive from South Africa and my rear seat delete from Australia. Parked by my friend's trail teams.  🙂

I haven't been on here for a bit because I have been finishing up a camper van conversion I have been working on.  I did this to see if it would be a feasible side business…but it was a lot of work and took me almost eight months (off and on).  It has a full AC/DC electrical system, running hot/cold water (with sink and outside shower), propane stove, propane hot water heater, propane heater (with ducted heat) and a composting toilet.  I did all the work myself from start to finish (with a hand from my teenage son) and it was a fun project...but I am glad it is done!

Friggin super envious of that setup. It would be perfect out here in Colorado. Good job!

@motojobobo and @mclaincausey Thanks, much appreciated!  I'm actually selling it because I have three kids that are still in school and it's not really practical for a family.  I more did it just to see if I could.  I do love the vans though, I drive a Sprinter as my daily driver, haha.

This would indeed make an awesome Colorado rig.  We are big skiers and this would be amazing to have when they are forecasting those big storms.  Camp out somewhere and wait for the powder!

Beautiful van, Soleamp! I feel like it’s one of my dreams that will go unrealized to do a cross-country trip in a kitted out camper like that.

@sabergirl Thanks so much!  It's not too hard to do those types of trips these days as you can now rent vans/RVs all over the world.  It's a great experience and we have done many long road trips with our kids.  A few years ago we did over 6k miles (that was a lot of driving).

will thoroughly miss the 140i. but this will have plenty of torque low down I bet. loads of fun can be had at 2-4k rpm..  😉 😉

I'm tempted to go for an electric car next time, but Australia is somewhat behind the rest of the world for various reasons. The charging infrastructure isn't great, distances tend to be long, and there are relatively few models available.

A local website / YouTube channel decided to compare the travel time of a Hyundai Ioniq 5 with a Hyundai Tucson between Sydney and Melbourne, a distance of about 900 km or 560 miles. It's a straightforward run down the Hume Highway.

The Tucson made it down first, because it didn't have to make recharging stops, but only beat the Ioniq by about forty minutes on a nine hour run. So an EV would appear to be practical for long distance travel, even in a somewhat backward country like Australia.

OK, you might struggle to find one for sale, since no-one seems to be bringing them here right now! 😃

Alternatively, I could be sensible and get the new Morgan Super 3 instead…

Unfortunately the Morgan EV3 never happened, though an electric version of the new model sounds like a possibility.

I bought my car almost 11 years ago. I know absolutely nothing about cars. Ultimately, I was just looking for something reliable. Last week I hit 375,000 miles. Hoping to make it to 400,000 and beyond…

The Late Brake Show has done a video walkaround of the Morgan Super 3, in the off chance you're obsessing over them like me.
