I'm getting married in May. I need to find a nice suit for warmish weather in the spring. I'm thinking two different dark colors for a suit jacket and pants but same material. Idk if that would look goofy? I don't know jack about fancy clothes so any help is greatly appreciated.

I kind if like the old timey/heritage look of some Mister Freedom stuff but not really sure.

@Oaktavia  congratulations. Ultimately all that matters is that you find something you like and your other half also approves (or at least lets you wear it). I can’t believe I’m saying this, but don’t worry about conventions. You want to enjoy the day and not feel self-conscious about what you’re wearing.

If you go for different trousers and jacket, I would suggest going for something with a bit of contrast. Otherwise it might just look like you got dressed in the dark

Anyway thanks for the tips @ARNC that all makes perfect sense.

@Giles Lovely couple in that photo, I'm sure you are proud of them! They look excellent. Oddly enough, my fiancée was looking at that same dress but decided against it. I think I will go with IH chinos, I didn't realize they dressed up nicely. That makes it much easier.

Now I just need to find a nice jacket…

If you have time and patience a good thrift store or Goodwill is an excellent place to find high quality pieces at low cost.  I had a perfectly fitting Harris tweed sport jacket that I found for $40.  It was beautiful.
