When my wife let's my dogs down from the bedroom in the morning (I've been sleeping on the couch to avoid the stairs) all they want to do is take up residence nearby

Not particularly mobile, every now and I get some unearned confidence and get up to do something only to be quickly reminded that I shouldn't be moving around too much by a following few hours of pain
Incision sites on my abdomen should hopefully be healed up enough in the next couple days I'm not fearful of opening anything up, beyond that the soreness I think will be an ongoing issue for the next month. Since I waited so long to get the surgery, they unfortunately had a decent amount of tinkering to do inside me. Could easily be worse, though
I plan on joining in the next UH Happy Hour when fortunately I should be healed up enough that all the widely entertaining people on this forum dont make me hurt myself through laughter
