I used to have a bottle of eagle rare 10 that I was in love with.  I got the Taylor for just around 47, which is lower than what it's typically jacked up to.  Fortunately I have a store nearby that offers 10% discount if you have an Annapolis area code

Making my go-to house special right now.

2oz Bourbon (I prefer Four Roses for this drink)
1 oz O3 orange liquer (If you can find it. Basically Cointreau on a budget)
        1/2-3/4 oz lime juice

Shake it all up with plenty of ice, and pour into a cocktail glass.

This sounds great, and I've got all the ingredients, BONUS

Nothing like some Laphroaig Cairdeas from 2014, bourbon barrel finished.

I’m a bourbon/rye guy and cask strength offerings have become pretty popular in recent years. 55% alcohol is pretty much my cask strength sweet spot. How would you be drinking it? I would taste it neat at first, but then I would need some ice. @ddtrash

@tvenuto on my second bottle of Plantation, this time with Bundaberg ginger beer. 😁

I am enjoying these a little too much.

@Filthy  I really like the overproof Plantation for a Cuba libre. Speaking from personal experience, you gotta be circumspect, it's something like 69%

@Filthy apologies, this is the one: https://www.plantationrum.com/oftd . Great for Rum & Coke (commonly referred to as Cuba Libre in Germany, if that was the question. Not meaning to be condescending)

@Tago Mago I'm unable to get this shipped to Pennsylvania.  😢 I'm going to have to see if they can special order it for me maybe.

Pennsylvania and it's damn archaic liquor laws!  Thought I would escape them moving to Maryland, but no one ships alcohol here, either.  Looks like you're enjoying some killer Dark and Stormy's @Filthy

Not the best there is, but when you see it for $30, well worth it and probably the best deal in entry-level mezcal. I'm not real big on mezcal cocktails, but this is the right price point and proof for that.

                                      Think it, be it.
