I'll attempt to follow my favorite Belgian with a pretty amazing Belgium. We did a little Tiki tour of the South Island last week and I stumbled upon some truly world class beers in the little town of Oamaru. I only got a chance to try two of their beers but they were both truly outstanding!!

This is good, taste is not overpowered by the high alcohol content, in fact it goes down a little too easy. Very dangerous drink in the wrong (my) hands.

It was good. Never had a fresh one for comparison. A bit sweet for my tastes. Lots of barrel, which I liked. I prefer the plain Bourbon County.
