This forum is such a dangerous place for the wallet… But thanks to this post, someone else's post (I can't find now, I was thinking it was Endo, and they said they, "were built like a tank") and IG.... I bought a pair of Zerrow's Slit sandals. The Birkenstock looking ones in Turquoise CXL.

The Zerrow's are beyond belief! Absolutely incredible It's hard to reason how heavy/sturdy they are. The sole is really something else.

Those are nifty and work with jeans (almost unheard of for sandals IMO) and socks (I didn't know that was even possible). The latter is a big advantage since they're leather and will inevitably reek if worn sockless (at least for me). That's why the only sandals I wear are Chacos. Good score Mike!
