I popped down the beach for a few casts earlier today - we have a red floaty weed issue.  That'll be with us now until mid-May, will need to select where I fish with care…..

thanks man. a recent storm has screwed up beach fishing for me. but there’s a tombolo that empties off and the fishing is magnificent. just don’t tell my wife that’s where i’ll be  every night this week.

Ended my personal dry spell last night.  Caught this last night, it was ~60 lbs or so.

Three of my European mates are in the Med, fishing for Blue Fin Tuna.  I could not go because we are not allowed to travel outside of UK.  They had 6 yesterday

Giles, Big Game fishing? April & may are the best times of the year for tuna and marlin.
Possible to know where are they? Simple curiosity;)

Have either of you had your catch turned in to sashimi right on the boat?  I always thought that it would be great to catch one of the tuna’s and eat it fresh or even lightly grill it.

When we have enough tuna to feed the entire crew, we'll grill/sear fresh tuna steaks made to order.  We've made ceviche and smoked tuna before as well but I don't happen to have any pics.

I store my boat offsite for the winter and always get a little nervous firing it up for the first time of the year.
Ears on it fired up in one turn of the key.
Gassed up and tires inflated. Bass opener is 2 weeks Saturday. So ready to get the lines wet.
