Random Love (anti-rants)

This is one of those places you have to always have a harness on even to just be up on a 4' scaffold. All the scaffolds are yellow tagged. So gearing up is mandatory.

they were these bumblebees. I accidentally disturbed their nest and they had been attacking me all week. My first ex-wife thought it was funny too. She came out and laughed her ass off because I was lying on the ground moaning in pain.

Once had a bee fly into my motorcycle helmet and sting me. I wasn’t going that fast,so I could pull over, and didn’t crash. Had a nasty welt from where it stung me.
Ha, I zipped a bee up into my motorcycle gear once. It wasn't a full suit but the pants were zipped to the jacket. Luckily it stung me before I actually started riding, was just about to leg up when I felt something around my ribs and it stung me while I was feeling around trying to figure out what it was. Ended up being more funny than anything else.

Been there. Riding down the street slapping myself.

I wanted to simply give a little shoutout to @Alex and the team behind Sonders Supplies for their dedication to bringing more and more Japanese companies to the forefront. What's all the more impressive to me is the different shades of Americana that are influencing these companies. As someone who has been into the "denim scene" for for than 16 years now, it is refreshing to see grown up takes of California street, skate, and car culture really be re-imagined by these craftsman.
Thank you for taking the risk to try something new. Someone had to do it, and I'm proud it was you guys.

Looks like you guys are off to a great start @Alex. I’m particularly pleased that you’re working with Trophy as they are an awesome brand and Egawa-San is a very cool dude.

Oh sweet! I didn't get my notification that you tagged me…. but that's great that it arrived safely.
best wishes to you and your dog. @Steffen

Really quite specific love to the glorious, kind, generous maniac we all know and love as @Filthy
I commented on his SE bag a while back (I used to have one and Hot Ingrid binned it by mistake), and he offered to post me his free of charge. He also let me know there was a little surprise included. It wasn’t so little.
A while back Mike had showed off a badass ring that seriously appealed to 18 year old me. I said as much. This was my surprise. Damn Mike, I’m chuffed, delighted and seriously humbled. Thank you so much.

Oh shit that got there so fast. I am glad you like it. You're welcome buddy

That's super generous. I enjoy hearing of Filthy striking again. It definitely not the first time I have heard of a "Filthy Surprise". Haha.

Rad. Mike is a legend. [emoji7]
He really is, I’m so touched. I’ll need to get it adjusted to fit. @Filthy your knuckles must be intimidating
-
@neph93 that ring is darkened with liver of sulphur… So hopefully the jeweler has some. Or they can fill in behind the skull where the iron cross is on the back.
@daltmeyer @sabergirl I appreciate you saying nice things about me. Thanks.

My Sunday student came in at his regular hour, around 8.15am… "You never kow what happened to me!", he declared almost ecstatic...
Apparently he had left a houseparty around midnight, completely blacked out, passed out along the road after making a nasty fall, was found by police (and they shoved a 250€ fine in his pocket for violating the Corona curfew), picked up by ambulance and brought to the emergency room... In the ambulance he kinda came to and mumbled "I gotta start work at 8.30am"...
His face was bruised and swollen, he had a nasty cut on the top of his thumb, his watch was damaged; apparently when they took a breathalyzer he clocked in at 3.1 promille...
He slept for six hours and then they woke him up for work... They had put him on an iv and had given him medicine so he felt fine... And just went and did his job, not missing a beat...
What a lad...
