1st fish of the year. got him on a 1/4 oz jig head with a 3 inch zman jerk shad. sizes down for the cold. very slow retrieve with twitches. caught 6 more after this

Most of the year in South Florida it is too hot to wear my favorite IH gear (too hot for pants most days..), but it does allow for some other activities.  This is a late-season female (cow) dolphin caught off shore of Miami:

Sometimes the long cast and slow retrieve is the best way to catch fish.

OK, I'll chip in. Trolling is not really fishing, is it?

Just another technique in trying to hook a big one.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.  Here’s to happier times and getting your feet wet.
