Good plan. I’m crossing my fingers for you as the re-up was not that long ago and you may be waiting a while on the L.

With the help of Neph93 i got my first IH 634-B jeans and the 256-lod Jacket. I think the fit is pretty good. The jeans are tag 36 and the jacket xxxxl. In all honesty the jacket is a tad snug and don't think i can ware anything bulky under it, but i love it.

@yannis it all looks beautiful, great job.

Looking at the arms and shoulders I’d say the type III was a perfect fit. Your personal experience is important, but I’d say type III’s should be a little snug. I think it is also possible to mistake the weight and stiffness of the denim for sizing issues, if you aren’t used to it. The jacket will soften and loosen up meaningfully with wear, just like jeans do.

Thanks guys! I am hooked. I just ordered another pair of 634S-21L tag36. I asume it should fit similar to the 634S-B that i have!
Again thank you for helping me choose the right sizes. When clothes fit you right makes the experience so much better!

I think I could definitely get down with an XL in one of these… maybe against my better judgement seeing that I already have an overdyed CPO. But damn it looks good.

@Giles out of curiosity, any refresh on the sold-out sizes expected anytime soon, as the weather's getting cooler?

                    @neph93:

Hmmm… very hard to make a guess based on that info other that to say you are between an M and an L.

I suspect both would work but you may find the L a little roomy. Sam is mostly an L because of length issues, he is pretty tall. I’m sort of tempted to say try an L if you want to layer. However, given that your shirts are relaxed in that 20-21” space I’d err towards M.

Seeing as you are in the UK I’d strongly consider giving the guys in Gosport a ring and having a chat and go with their recomendation. Worst case you have to exchange it and what with overnight delivery you’ll only loose a day or two.

Cheers for the advice, @neph93, really helpful. One other key point I've just spotted though is that L is currently out of stock, so if M doesn't work I guess I'm stuck waiting for a restock  😞

Based on that I think I'll order an M and see if it works. If not, it'll go back and I'll have to find some patience from somewhere.

Sadly the M didn't quite work out for me in the end - was on the snug side of a good fit with only a t-shirt underneath, but didn't really work at all with anything heavier.

I ended up picking up a IH-526J-142IB in L from Rivet & Hide. Had originally ignored this because I wanted something blacker so went to R&H to browse, but ended up really liking it when I saw it in person.

I asked Graham via email (amazing service from Graham and Chesson by the way!) about restock plans and it doesn't sound promising, sadly:

"This was only just restocked and the denim is notoriously hard to come by so we have no plans to make any more at the moment. This last run has taken over a year to arrive I am afraid."

                        Hey @jayaytee

Cheers for the kind words! Apologies if we have given you false information, it looks like there is indeed a new production in place for the 526L and Lod. It is too early to have a set date but they are happening and hopefully they should be here by the end of the year/early next year.

I have signed you up for a stock notification on these but we will no doubt place updates in this thread and advertise on social media near the restock date when we have it all dialed in.

                                  Hey guys,

Here is my first ever denim jacket and I thought I would ask your opinion on the fit. How does it fit on me?

                                  Thanks.

Can you button it? Are you interested in buttoning it? Otherwise, I like a good trim fit on a trucker jacket, so it looks pretty good. Sleeves could be a little longer, but they don’t look too short.

Thanks @sabergirl yes I could button it up but prefer the unbuttoned look. I could also layer it over a hoodie but it becomes a little too close-fitting. I was a bit concerned with the length of the waist.

Do you feel it is too long or too short? To my eyes it looks great.

This jacket it one of the longest type III’s IH do. I don’t own one because I have to size up for broad shoulders and chest and the jacket gets very long as a result.

Yours looks to be at the sweet spot.
