      I asked the exact same thing about the 19OZib. Have to wait and see how the lefty samples come out.

        @Giles:

        We've run out of the 18oz denim that the IHSH-177 and 178 are made from.  So we are having to find a suitable new denim for both.  We tried the vintage 18oz, did not work, so we are now trying the 19oz LHT.

        I'm yearning for a CPO @Giles How are the denim trials and in particular the 19oz LHT tests going?

              Oh and spoke to H yesterday, the 19oz Lefty is too finicky to make the 177/178 replacement.  We're bouncing alternative denim ideas backwards and forwards atm…..

                Great, Appreciate this question might be better asked elsewhere, but I am curious as to whether an OD denim could be considered. That combo if possible would tick a lot of boxes for me.

                  Don't understand the question.  The IHSH-178 is OD'd.

                  When we make the The IHSH-177 we leave some indigo and overdue some, those become the IHSH-178.

                  Once we have selected an indigo denim, we will do the same with the replacements.

                          @Jett129 Personally, I would say anything heavier than 19oz is too heavy for jacket territory.

                          My 526Lod at 19oz, sometimes pisses me off when I am wearing it. 16-18oz would be my optimal weight if it was possible. I have the 555S-16 jeans, would have been interesting to see a CPO cut out of that IMO.

                            I've always really wanted something that was not that heavy, but still gnarly…..

                              @AdamJ I Tend to agree with you as I ended up selling my Lefty/OD jacket because I couldn’t find the right temperature range where I was comfortable wearing it. I have a 16.5OZ jean jacket which I can pretty much wear anytime as a stand alone or under another jacket as a layer. The Heavyweight CPO has been such an IH staple that I thought they wanted to always have one in the repertoire,hence the search for an appropriate denim. You know if they made an XHS/CPO a few of us would loose our minds.

                                .      And the previous incarnation of the 177/178 definitely checked those boxes.

                                  If the IH-526Lod fits me perfectly in XXL, would you all recommend the same size in ISH-178?  The ISH-177?  Trying to decide between XL and XXL.  I'm 6'2, 190 lbs.

                                  Thanks so much!

                                    Very hard to say, jackets aren’t shirts, so it is a bit like comparing apples an oranges. It also depends how you wear your jacket and how you would like to wear your shirt. If you have any comparable shirts I would measure those to get a baseline.

                                    I can say this: I have the IHSH-178 in XL and it fits very well over a tee or henley. I have worn the IH-526L-OD tour jacket in XXL and it was big enough on me that I could wear it over a UHF or hoodie. If I wanted one to wear over a single layer I would size down to XL.
