All of the core cuts; 555, 634, 666, 777 and 888 are being released in both XHS and XHSib.  Most have now arrived so I'm assuming the 666's wont be far away….

Excellent! Thanks for the information. I have the 555 version but the 666 is my preferred cut.

For the last few years I remember the 888s had bigger pockets compared to other cuts..

I just got my new pair of 777XHSib and these seem deeper than my other pairs? Am I nuts or have the pockets changed to be similar to 888s?

Other that IH,the only other heavy weight jeans I’ve ever had are a pair of Old Blue 21/23OZ jeans. While they are really nice jeans it was hard for me to believe they were as heavy as their IH counterparts, which I also have. I think I recall some forum member saying that another brand of denims 25OZ denim didn’t feel as heavy as IH. Old Blue now has a 31/33 OZ denim. I’m definitely skeptical. My question is can you say your denim weighs whatever you want without fear of someone actually checking or asking you to prove that the fabric does in fact weigh that much? I think H has also commented on the weight of other heavyweight denim. Just curious.

@Giles  what is the deal with the IHSH-266’s I’m seeing in the .jp crew IG’s? Same shirt as the IHSH-68’s, just with non metal buttons, or are there other differences?

I saw someone asking about machine washing ultra heavy flannels a couple days ago, they were worried about them shrinking. Then a crew member replied. I can't find the post now.

Do any of the moderators or crew remember seeing this post?

I wanted to add a couple thoughts there. I tested out a hypothesis today about machine washing a UHF and it didn't shrink. I was actually able to stretch the biceps and gut area essentially making a shirt that was too small fit me perfectly now.

Yeah, I agree with the 100 percent.

I washed all these shirts today on the heavy duty cycle on my Samsung front loader in cold water.

This shirt almost got sold in my sale because it was too small in the biceps and belly area (when I sit down). But I was able to put the shirt on while it was damp and stretch and shape it. This was also a good time to shape and flatten the collar, bottom hem, and pocket flaps. I am so glad I didn't sell it.  🙂

I just used 2 of these Tide pods because they have some kind of antibacterial additive. So it really removes the musty smell all the stuff had.

I feel like it’s been answered before but I can’t seem to find it now… Does anyone know if the Good Art snap upgrades (specifically for the lightweight snaps) can be successfully transplanted to a different shirt, or does the initial installation and/or subsequent removal make that risky/impossible? Don’t want to ruin them, but they’re attached to a shirt that is now borderline too large for me.

I think they can be taken off and re-used, but you risk ruining the donor shirt. Not sure though. One of the crew will chime in tomorrow with the truth.

They can be taken off, a replacement snap can be added and the shirt will be totally fine.  But the "legs" of the snap get deformed during the installation process.  Sometimes these can be bent back and the snap used again, but it's a pain in the arse and not guaranteed to work.
