Iron Heart Ultra-Heavy Flannels & 21oz Denim Jacket and Jean Restock
This week from Iron Heart we have two flannel shirts from their Ultra-Heavy series. We have a Crazy Check flannel with snap buttons and a black/blue ombre flannel in a workshirt style.
Both of these along with a full restock of their flagship 21oz indigo denim jeans in the 634s straight leg fit and modified Type III jacket with hand pockets are available now at all stores and online.

Introducing EXCEL - Highly Detailed
Today we have a new line dropping at all stores created by our dear friend Excel. Excel has been doing some special t-shirts over the past few years and has gotten very good at creating a unique vintage style t-shirt with original art. The first collection is named PLAY 2WIN and consists of a t-shirt and a pair of socks in two styles. Excel has a great eye for detail and this shows through these items he's created. Each drop will have a different name and theme; we're looking forward to showing you what else he has in store.
The vintage airbrush style t-shirt is made of undyed/unbleached natural-colored organic Texas grown cotton fibers which are knit into a 5.75oz jersey. The t-shirts go through a custom washing process after being printed to give them a vintage look and feel and are finished with original hand-written neck-tags.
The socks come in two color styles, both consisting of a blue and yellow combination. These start off as organic Texas grown cotton which are knit and sewn then hand dipped into organic plant based dyes. These come in three sizes covering US sizes 7 to 13.

Toyo's Summer Collections are Here!
New summer shirts are here from Sugar Cane, Style Eyes, Toyo, and Star of Hollywood! There are some seriously hot shirts in this release.
We have some beautiful short sleeve shirts and a pocket dobby t-shirt that's indigo dyed from Sugar Cane. Style Eyes has done a broad cotton fabric shirt in a super fun color. Star of Hollywood does what they do best and has released two amazing high-density rayon shirts. Lastly we have Toyo doing a 55th anniversary t-shirt which includes all their brands' logos on the back, a must for any Japanese brand fan.

Introducing Dandy's Eyewear
Dandy’s is an eyewear line made by a small factory in Segusino, Italy which only produces four brands of eyewear in their production studio. Many of shapes and styles are inspired by Enzo Ferrari who built his legacy just a couple of hours away. The studio has been producing eyewear for 45 years using only original Italian acetates and in-house designed stainless steel hinges. They believe modern production methods have become too precise and polished so some of the frames are literally unfinished, giving the frames a very natural human quality. Some are partially unfinished, some are completely unfinished with the machine markings from the cutting of the in-house acetate. It’s quite wild, and extremely unique. Most of the frames are larger than all the eyewear brands we currently carry; great if you’ve been wanting a larger or bolder frame.
We met with the people behind the line earlier this year in Bologna, Italy and have chosen with them seven frames from their 2020 collection which they’ve just finished for us. We hope you get to see these in person so you can appreciate the subtle curves and finishes.

Sugar Cane for Self Edge Jeans - One Fit, Two Denim Styles
Sugar Cane for Self Edge jeans are here! These jeans come in a new straight tapered fit developed by us and perfected by the pattern makers of Sugar Cane. They're available in either a 13oz black warp and black weft denim or a 14oz Okinawa sugar cane fiber blend indigo denim, both unsanforized (but lightly rinsed) for maximum texture and character. Both jeans come with black anodized wreath buttons, hidden rivets, super fancy variable weave density pocket bags, and a very pleasing straight tapered fit with a medium rise. I don't wanna get all heavy (<–-well unless it's with jeans or flannels) and I very much appreciate Bobby Lee's love and deconstruction of his less illumined interviewer but for me The Good Stuff---like all that Self Edge sells and IH in particular---is about using a bit of power (can I say our modest use of "wealth"?) to decide for fewer, better things that will take a small bite out of "fast fashion" and all that is wrong with it (social justice, sustainability, serious stuff that is wrong with it). Less waste, more use, better for small businesses, just better. Okay, sermon over.

The Fine Creek Horsehide Roberts Jacket
One of the most anticipated releases of the year has landed. The new Roberts model from Fine Creek is produced of a tea-core dyed 1.3mm custom Himeji horsehide and comes with a cotton/wool blend liner, great for all-climate wear. Due to the slightly thinner leather compared to some of their other horsehide jackets this model has a shorter break-in period and is more comfortable even when new. Check the product page for a full rundown of the specs on this jacket.

Introducing Kei Shigenaga - Wildly Impressive Jewelry from Japan
We're proud to introduce Kei Shigenaga's line of jewelry at our stores. This is a line of fine jewelry designed, produced, and finished by Kei Shigenaga himself. He's a one man show in Tokyo doing strong jewelry styles with unbelievable finishing. Kei uses kintsugi, the Japanese art of repair, as one of his inspirations behind his designs as he uses 18k yellow gold to "repair" areas of the jewelry which look to have eroded while applying a super high polish finish to the rest of the piece. Everything is made from beginning to end in his own Tokyo foundry and for the first time has been created in US ring sizes for Self Edge. As with a lot of what we stock you really need to see this line in person to truly appreciate the design and finishes.
