Emma Ruth Rundle is one of my favourite artists of the past 10 years. She also played in the bands Marriages, and Red Sparrowes. You might also appreciate Hilary Woods and Chelsea Woolf. They have a melancholy, gothic, 80s vibe too.

Truth be told, I was never a fan. They never really fit my musical tastes. It likely didn't help, they followed on the heels of another influential group from that era, that happened to be more to my liking.
