Hi guys. I’m wearing a pair of 888 XHSib right now and it’s getting super hot here in the southern US. Wondering if the 21 oz would be wearable in the hot summer. Any opinions? I don’t want to do lighter weight than 21 oz in Iron Heart.

@super-thermite 21oz is a lot more wearable than XHS in the heat.

My pleasure. I’ll add that we’re still talking about heavy denim, so it is all relative, as is individual tolerance, but I can happily rock 21oz in 25C and above, whereas XHS get’s furloughed when it gets over 21-22C.

Hey! Just ordered them and then realized the measurements for the waist on the size 31 on the 888 XHSib is bigger than on the 31 888s. I’m going to need the 32.
Can anyone here help me change the order? I’ve sent an email to shop@ironheart.com and shop@ironheart.co.uk but I’m a bit panicked because I called for a hem. I think @Graham has contacted me before processing my orders in the past.

Keep in mind that the XHSib is unwashed while the 888s is one-washed (little to no shrinkage expected).

Yeah it was around 3am Saturday night when you sent the mail. You can totally relax as it is also Sunday today so there may not be an answer today either, and no orders will be processed until Monday anyway. I guarantee you will hear from them before they start processing the order.
However as mentioned I think you will find you want the W31. The XHS shrinks 0.5-1” in the waist before stretching out about an 1”. The 21oz will not shrink and may well stretch over an inch with wear. The w32 will end up being too big for you, I think.

Never underestimate the ability of the 21oz to stretch like crazy in the waist. I had the same thought reading this.
