Weave may be the same, but this fabric is woven on an ancient and rather cranky shuttle loom, the shirting wabash is woven on a projectile loom.

That looks great @Giles. I added a (fake) Sherriff's badge to my top pocket in hopes of creating some evo patterns (not sure it will work).

Did you remove your zipper pull or tuck it in?

what is that zipper pocket traditionally for?

lastly, are the buttons made from anything notable?

Knowing Haraki it may have been planned, but the chest pocket perfectly houses a pack of cigarettes and the zipped outer pocket fits a zippo very nicely indeed. I’m sure that is of zero interest to most sensible people, but there you go.

The break in is taking forever since we don’t get to see the horses as often as we like. However the vest is super functional with the large front pockets. It probably wasn’t designed for grain, carrots and grooming supplies, but it sure works great in that respect.

Plus, chicks dig it.

I had lost 2 buttons and the great @Filthy helped find some perfect replacement ones for the vest.

This vest has me in training trouble at the ranch. Beau knows exactly where the treats are and bothers me constantly as the pocket with carrots, apples, etc are at nose level.

It doesn’t stop me from rocking it constantly out there, and it’s extremely comfortable and functional.
