stormzylukaku guy.. so i hope this nobody will be chasing any first touches down the m25..Well I'm not sure if I'm understanding what you said correctly, but it sounds like you're saying that not many foreign players do well in the premier league? I don't think that could be further from the truth. This would imply that most of the best players in the league are UK based which is just not true. The premier league is full of quality foreign players and is probably the most non-domesticated league of the big 5. If you look at the player of the season awards over the course of the Premier League the vast majority of those players were foreign players.
Ruud, Cantona (as Giles mentioned), Ronaldo, Henry, Van Dijk, Salah, Aguero, Schmeichel, Ljungberg, Suarez….the list goes on.
Maybe I misunderstood what you were saying, but to say foreign players don't do well in the premier league is just not an accurate statement.

i think what i'm trying to imply was that there's a lot of brilliant foreign players in the premier league. However, while that is the truth, there's also a bunch of foreign players that struggled to adapt to the pace and physicality of the premier league. What i'm just trying to say is, let's give them a few games under their belt before we try and predict how we'll they'l do in the EPL..

isn't players pay cut between the clubs, the agents and their players anyway? i know the EPL has no salary cap unlike some leagues (ML, A-League etc.) so why do they even have a say?

PFA is the basically the players trade union. Looks after their interests.
ahhh right. i suppose i'd rather a player offer their sacrifices than to force them to sacrifice. i'll have no doubt most would do the right thing anyway..

When I was a lad I would go there to stand together with 30,000 others and sing silly songs while watching the football, getting pee’d on and wondering what all the funny smelling smoke around me was (because it wasn’t tobacco).
In 1994 it was turned into an all seater stadium (about 12,000), and was the single tier stand at a football stadium in the UK, until about a year ago. It’s still the best.

Ha… it was because with 30,000 pressed into such a small space no one wanted to try and find the toilets. You'd have missed half the match, so people pissed in their rolled up newspapers instead. Now it is seating it doesn't happen.
Although, if you sit in the Anfield Rd. stand at the other pitch you can give or receive piss. It is a two tier stand and the left hand side of the bottom tier is reserved for away supporters. It has been known for home supporters in the upper tier to pee in cups and chuck it down a level. Mostly when supporters from Manchester are visiting...
