What's your favorite Beer?

@scooter how are you finding the European beers? That impy Nøgne is their standard. Hasn’t changed in 10 years.
There is a liquor store on the south side of Milwaukee that carries a good amount of imports. I used to shop there, when I lived in that part of town. I make it a point to drop in, when I'm working in the area.
I stopped at another store on the west side, today. They don't have quite the same selection. But, I did manage to unearth a couple of nuggets.

Sorry. Ambiguous turn of phrase on my part. I meant, did you like the Nøgne and the Põhjala beers?
Haha. Too funny. With my recent quest to locate these brands, I took things quite literally. No surprise, though. That's how my brain works most of the time, anyway.
It doesn't surprise me, the Nogne Impy hasn't changed in years. It went down quite proper. You don't fix what isn't broken. Loved the Karneval. Flavors were there, not at all overbearing. What was interesting, while drinking, the raspberry presents itself more in the nose, than on the tongue. Loved the Craic, as well. I am a sucker for blackberries, though. The Pojhala Twisted Biscuit Porter was ok. It was heavy on carbonation, and a bit thin. But, the flavor was good.

It is rare that anything from Nøgne is not worth trying. They do a lot of wild yeast/sour stuff at the moment and some of it is incredible.
Those crazy east Europeans seem to produce a huge variety of beers. I can’t keep up. The thin base on the porters seems normal for them but as you say the taste is often excellent. I’ve had some misses from them but that isn’t a surprise given the volume and the amount of weird and wonderful things they try.
Just drank this… gonna buy some more. Jammy and and tasty, richer and sweeter than most pale ales.

That’s a good one Scooter.
I’ve been on a Prarie sours kick lately. This one was dry hopped and was def more funky than sour. Not sure I’d buy it routinely but it was still pretty good.

I've had a few of their Funky Gold beers and they've all been pretty enjoyable.
