@motojobobo That's also a CB750 four. The bikes pictured are both from 1976, and had spent their lives in a garage together in Scotland for the last 40 years. Seemed a shame to separate so we bought them both. The red one restored to original spec. The black one far from standard, but that's a longer story…

Ditto @Giles if you've looked lately decent sand cast originals are darn hard to come by and ££££, and probably better spent in dry storage where I suspect most are these days.

Just got on to this thread…Really great bikes, and pictures. Reminds me of when I was a kid and the 750/4 came out and I,for the first time in my life, lusted after something that wasn’t a Harley.

Thanks @Jett129 It was certainly a game changer back in its day. I've been looking into Harley's recently too, but realistically need to make room. Gutted they didn't exhibit at the recent MCN at Excel, but in hindsight probably a good thing 🙂

Finally had time to put some clear coat on a helmet I painted last year. Still need to buff it out and put the trim and visor snaps back on.

@natehate I’ve been into the idea of a Harley for sometime and have been considering a 5 year old fourth eight for months as a ready to go set up. But there’s just something that always draws me to making it my own. Love what you’ve built, a lot, can you tell me more about it?

Thought I'd try re-ignite this awesome thread given the current stay at home policy with some shots of my CB750, cafe racer, shed build. This one's been happily draining my savings for the last two years. I have my 70 year Dad (retired engineer) to thank for getting the important stuff set up right. We still ride together occasionally, the memories of which, will never leave me, what a legend! We completed her last year, and was rightfully chuffed to display her at the Bike Shed 2019. If only I could take her out now, with all those empty roads!

sorry to quote all the photos again. but they're definitely worth it. this is hella coincidental because i've been eyeing up a cb919 hornet for a long time for a cafe mod.. i've also been thinking about tinkering with a bike with all this free time now.

also, i suppose you can still go out for a ride as long as you don't stop anywhere. straight out the garage and straight back in after.. no exposure..

                                            This is the current advice:

Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home)

Which initially I thought was ridiculous, but say I drive to the beach to fish (when I go, the hours are so antisocial, I rarely see another human being anyway) and have a car accident, then I will be placing strain on the health system, which is at breaking point anyway,  that is unnecessary…..
