I gave them a treatment if Venetian shoe cream. Didn't make them darker really, which is what I wanted.

Best thing I've found for darkening is Obenauf's LP. It'll give them a great protective layer, as well.

Thanks, I’m quite pleased with them. I’ll likely swap out the nylon laces for rawhide ones once I’m allowed to venture out of the house again. Undecided on the kiltie though.

I love the aesthetics of kilties and wouldn’t want to go without. They look especially good on these I think. They also have a valid function. Again, rawhide laces are my choice as a rule, and will look excellent here.

That's definitely 9109 last. First Jobmaster I've seen built on it and I dig the look

Thanks for the confirmation, these were factory seconds and it didn't specify the last. I really lucked out on the sizing, they're half a size down from my MP Boss size but wider (9109 EE vs 1339 E) and the fit is dead-on.

The 9109 is my favorite due to it being a little narrower compared to my Jobmasters. That and I like the overall shape of the bump toe a lot better.

Can be, but it will alter the colour and probably smooth out the nap.

I just cleaned mine ( they weren’t cool dirty) with saphir Omni nettonyant. And it worked. Now I want to condition

I can’t imagine anything with oil going well with rough out. Definitely test it on an obscure part first.

Basically, I went for a combination of 3 models of the Boss I want but unable to obtain:  Wesco Boss Horsehide 100th anniversary Japan exclusive, Wesco Boss Lynch Silversmith 100th anniversary 2017 model, and Ken Igari’s ridiculous black rough out double midsole monster.  I can’t get actual silver roller buckles unless someone volunteers to make them available and I’m not doing a double midsole boot again like Igari’s.  Looking forward to July when I get them.
