I'd be surprised if the denim in any of my vintage denim jackets exceeded the heft of the 12Oz IH wabash.

I'm thinking 14oz Wabash Type II, no cinch views?
Love it. Because I'm contrary, I'd like a cinch. ::)

Beauties. I still think a gum sole would be the mutts nuts (or the cat’s ass, as @steelworker would say), but the white is pretty lovely regardless.

These waxed would be fire.
Edit: MORE fire than currently. Firey as is.

Lovely–duck and white go together beautifully.
Interesting that the heel appears to be twill while the rest of the upper is plain woven. Is there a reason for that?

That is weird. It does look like twill, but it shouldn’t be because then it wouldn’t be duck. Perhaps the pattern running perpendicular to the rest of the upper, plus the camera angle, create that impression?

I think the strip up the back of the heel is twill tape. That's pretty common in this type of shoe. The edges of the tape don't fray and the fabric doesn't need to be tucked under, which creates extra bulk.
PF Flyers do it consistently.
