I took a walk out today and saw the new Omega Trésor in steel.

It's a really nice piece. The dial is a bit more reflective than it appears in photograph, so it catches the light more than I expected.

        Nice dial colour.
The new master chronometer by omega is the state of the art of chronometer movements.
If I had money, I would buy this

I like their AT150M collection a lot, especially the "golf" models; they hit the right notes of dressy and sporty and are rugged enough not to worry about swimming and such. I think they all feature a jumping hour hand, so if you don't need to track another time zone you still get the benefit of GMT as it pertains to quickly setting time without hacking no matter which model you get.

          Think it, be it.

TAG Heuer have released a new version of the Monaco.

The big difference with the old version is that it now uses the in-house Calibre 02, rather than an ETA movement. It's gained a seconds hand at the six o'clock position too, and it might be slightly thicker than before.

Hodinkee and Monochrome have more details.

I had a bit of a watch day yesterday.

I dropped by the Grand Seiko boutique in town, and they had the limited edition model with that red dial.

Later in the day, Time and Tide were launching the DOXA range in Australia. Naturally there were a few pieces in attendance, including the limited edition gold Sub 200T.

I tried on the Sub 200, but I'm not really a diver fan.

The Tender got an airing, having been rested for a while due to a disintegrating strap. Here it is alongside a Paul Gerber as we compared our obscure timepieces!

So many things I hate about that Omega, including the Bond association (I dislike movie-themed watches), Titanium case, fake aged tritium, He release, a novel written on the dial…. but I really like it.

@Anesthetist I like the Broadsword a lot, and certainly more than the Hublot you passed on!

The Bond watch is interesting. I like the fact that it's no date, has a titanium case, and the mesh bracelet looks good. I'm not so sure about the solid case back and broad arrow on the dial.

The bezel is aluminium, so that it'll fade. I quite like the idea, though I'd have probably preferred ceramic and no faux patina lume.

I don't really mind the broad arrow, though I think it would be better without it.  I actually like the solid case back, as it makes the watch a bit thinner, and I've become indifferent to display backs in general.  I love the mesh; I think that looks fantastic.  The one thing that I really don't like about the watch overall is the fake aged lume and "faded" dial.  All that said, I think this is the best looking Bond watch Omega has done, in part because there aren't any obvious and tacky movie tie-ins.
