Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person on this forum that prefers my black denim to stay black.  😞

I enjoy the variety. I don’t own a Superblack pair but I wouldn’t mind if I felt the right cut was available in it.

I adore my superblacks now that they are over ten years old and finally soft. It was the crunchiest and heaviest denim ever for the first few years, though. If iron heart came out with a superblack with a softer hand, I would be overjoyed. Add stretch, and I would never wear anything else.

I don't like anything to stay too clean / perfect looking if I beat the hell out of it, so I don't mind some fading. But I  hate when denim fades too quickly

My understanding is that the selvage version of the Superblack denim that was used on the 888 cut was much softer than the normal Superblack denim. I’d be more than fine with the selvage version replacing the original version, and I’d love a lighter weight option as well, something in the 14-16oz range. Not holding my breath, but I can dream, right?  😉

I had both SB versions and the selvage iteration is softer to the touch but still quite stiff. It's actually a pretty good idea to replace the old non-selvage SB denim with the selvage edition on bottoms, vests and jackets and also maybe add some other cuts besides the 634/666.

That’s the nice thing about nearly all IH gear. Even when it isn’t indigo it ages beautifully. I have the IHE-19 in Superblack and it has had the shit kicked out of OT through everyday use over four years. It’s faded and aged wonderfully, although not in the same sense as indigo denim.

                  IH-888s-sbg being sampled atm….

This is great news. Is the production run likely to be this year or next?

I’d love to see SBG after it has been subjected to your working environment.

I haven't posted here in a while because life has been crazy hectic and my internet time basically disappeared.

                                  so I have a question/suggestion…

has there been a natural unbleached duck western shirt?  I apologize if there has but I don't remember one.  A CPO would be pretty awesome too.

PUT DOWN THAT STARBUCKS, PICK UP THAT GNARBUCKS!!

Short answer is no (I think). There were natty canvas products knocking around in a summer collection a year or two ago. But not a shirt. It’s a really good idea.

@Pygmalion interesting… I’d definitely go for an IHV-02 style work vest in cord.

@dj the amount of people who have suggested this amazes me. Popular idea.
