STOKED to have gotten some great seats in the artist presale for Tyler Childers at his inaugural Red Rocks performance. Last time he was in town was right when he blew up, and the venues were entirely too small for how big he had suddenly gotten. I'm not sure I've ever seen someone I like go from under the radar to superstar so quickly. Couldn't get tickets for any of his shows. Now he has Robert Earl Keen opening for him, which is crazy.

This came out today. It's weird, Google suggested I listen to it on the home page.

@Filthy dude thanks for reminding me! I am off to the record store NOW to see if they have this monster!
-
Sure thing! I wonder if that is Wino singing because he got busted for meth in Europe somewhere… seems like he would be in prison still.
-
I am in love with Slipknot's latest song…. So 2 songs so far released from their new album and I will FINALLY be seeing them live this year! Been a fan since about 2000, actually one of of my favorite bands of all time.

@Jordonf9 it's actually Scott Reagers St Vitus' 1st vocalist back with them

@Stuart.T yeah I don't prefer him as much.
We're talking about Paul McCartney in the other thread and I can't help but think about John…
WTF was he thinking? He would probably be still alive if he hadn't hooked up with Yoko. This reminds me of my ex-wife and I am glad to not be around her negative energy or leeching any longer and I wish I could bestow the same fate for Mr. Lennon.
-
@Filthy Completely agree Mike. Wino's super distinct voice is very missed indeed. A good album, but certainly not great.

I'm not generally a fan of cover versions, but here are a few I think are note worthy…
now, you may or may not know that in 1980 Kate Bush was my girlfried, but I was only 8 so the police became involved, then I awoke from that dream. I am now in love with Meg Myers, and she does a service to Kate's classic
-
my long distance relationship with Stevie Nicks didn't work out either, but Lissie…
and finally, I've always thought of myself as a small town boy…
-
ok, one more…Husker Du are legends, Catherine Wheel are legends...

We could start a thread/support group for those of us that had really bad ex-wives [emoji16]

Hey sorry, I was pretty drunk and they were talking about Paul McCartney and my ex-wife used to listen to that hipster John Lennon shit all the time so I went off on a rant.
I often wonder if John would have never been assassinated if he never met Yoko.
-
To be fair, the guy who killed Lennon was out of his mind.

@Jordonf9 the Unsainted video is great. Imagery….editing....they knocked it out of the park. As for the song I honestly wasn't a huge fan of it at first. It seemed so formulaic and just "typical" Slipknot to me....which may not be considered a bad thing to some but it just didn't stick out and felt like a song that was going through the motions. Not bad, not great, just meh....However, it has grown on me over the past week or so.

And for the record I personally love Corey's new mask.

@Max Power fuuuuckkk!….released 31st May. Going to be one of the albums of the year for me
