Thanks man.
So the jacket is clean and looking great. I am happy to to see there is some definitive fading under all that dirt and dust
As normal with the OD it looks different in every light
@neph93 will get it all packaged up and sent out to you early next week

Great job @spitfiredealer it looks amazing!
Excited for @neph93 to have a turn with it! -
After lighting fast shipping I received this beauty today…
It is in amazing condition. Really beautiful:
There’s a collection of fun stuff growing too…
And @spitfiredealer took excellent care of me…
Cheers buddy.
The Wee Heavy had suffered some leakage so things were a little damp (wabi-sabi). I just opened the bugger and necked the rest. Very tasty (if a little flat).
Fit pics soon…

Mini-update…
Tomorrow is the 17th of May which is Norway’s national day. It marks the signing of the Norwegian Constitution in 1814. They take this shit seriously.
As a Brit I’m mildy allergic to flag waving, parades and excessive nationalist displays, but this is Annual Funday #1 for lots of Norwegians. It is a public holiday with national costumes, lots of parades, smiling kids, ice cream, hot dogs, cake and no where near enough alcohol. Very wholesome. I detest it, but as a father of a small army I have to take it seriously so here I am baking pigs in blankets at past midnight...
The real bugger is I have to go suited and booted all day tomorrow. As I scouser the only legitimate reason to wear a suit is a court appearance so this pains me greatly. Even more so this year as I want to rock the tour jacket badly.
Fortunately I have something from Tring to tide me over, cheers Mr. Dyer, (As an aside I once spent two days off my tits in Tring when @spitfiredealer was probably about 5 years old).
No fit pics of me yet but Mrs Neph (aka Hot Ingrid) obliged…
In other news, The White Nights have set in here above The Arctic Circle. This is 1am:

Wow, the Norwegians have perfected a special form of cruelty. A holiday involving booze, hot dogs, and wearing a suit? That's just all sorts of wrong.

There’s flag-waving, parades and patriotism. You lot would love it.
I may not have been clear, there is very little beer. You’re never offered it and if you ask there will be frowning.

So the big day came and went… flags, funny clothes parades the lot. I missed out on the parades as I was running a cafe at my 11 year olds school this morning. My oldest boys came along to make sure I was working hard... Sebastian is 11 and Noah is 16. Noah is eating the first hot dog of the day. I’d served about 200 buy the time my shift was up.
After that it was off to meet the wife and small kids for a buffet with the in-laws. Most women recieve a «bunad» or national costume when they are confirmed at age 15. It is entirely hand made and constructed in such away that it is easy to let in and out. The idea is it will last a lifetime. Here is my wife on the right, her sister in the left and my mother-in-law in the middle. Her costume is older than me.
The costumes vary in style, colour and embroidery depending on which county your mother was born in. This one is from Sunnmøre. Hot Ingrid/Mrs Neph:
This is a mini version of the bunad of coastal Nordland worn by my nieces. The inland version swaps the blue for green.
There was good food:
I had to wear a suit [emoji849]
But the careful observer might notice a familiar item or two peaking through…
I got some beer in the end. Appropriately, a Norwegian NEIPA.

Very smart indeed, @neph93, and such lovely national dress. I always liked that when I worked there, seeing the locals put on a great display.
-
Awesome @neph93 how on earth did you end up in Tring? Should I be on the look out for teenagers who have Scouse tendencies around my way then? lol
Also am I the only one who thinks Hot Ingrid should do all the fit pics for this leg?
-
Great suit pics @neph93 !
But there was plenty of space in the background to place the Tour JacketI promise the jacket will be featured tomorrow. 17th May is the worst day of the year for denim in Norway.
I publish this view far too often on the forum, but this is taken from my front door at 2330…. kick ass full moon and all.

Me and a mate had driven from Bristol to Hackney for a party. The party went badly wrong (like burning tyres being thrown off tenth floor balconies wrong) and we had no fun at all. He was from Tring (lives in Oz now), and suggested we go there to regroup. It got messy. But not so messy that I left my genes behind (I hope).
I will endeavour to get Ingrid to put the jacket on as much as possible. You've all seen enough of my grim mug the last four years

The fine weather from yesterday carried over into today. Our big lads were out enjoying it so we took the little ones to a beach about 30mins car drive north. There’s some good fishing the other side of this bay (cod, haddock, pollock and mackerel) but I didn’t get the opportunity to indulge as the equipment wasn’t up to scratch…
It’s a pretty spot…
Cold in the water though.
Tour jacket came along..
But had to come off after a while…
Some people feel the cold more than others though. Either that or she wanted an excuse to show off again.

Great closeup pic of the tshirt and GAH thingies @neph93 !
-
@neph93 That denim/olive combo is spot on! Great tour & family photos!
-
Beautiful, @neph93 !
Love the Constitution Day photos, the costumes are lovely and you look either gangster or Mennonite in your suit
Hot Ingrid for the win wearing the Type III.
