If you scour all the XHS threads (as I once did) you’ll see a variance in reported shrinkage from very little up to an inch. It seems most people fall around .5”. The variations can be attributed to differences in washing machines, soaking times, temperatures, amount of agitation/machine rpm’s and so on.

One rule of thumb with the XHS is that with shrinkage and subsequent wear they should end up a little bigger than starting measurements (but not much).

My s510xx are tagged 34 they measure a little over 35 after 7 months and 3 or 4 washes. What size would you guys go with in the 634-xhs

If you’re happy with the 35” waist I’d go with a starting waist of between 34” and 34.5”. It’ll drop down with the hot soak and stretch an inch with wear.

I climb ladders for 3/4 of the year and i lift a bit so my actual thigh is 25 inches but i like a bit of room in my jeans that's why i was wondering about shrinkage. 34 or 35 is what i was thinking.

Little update for you guys. Worn these basically non stop since last post. Washed twice, would have been less but I spilled an entire pot of coffee on them at work. I don’t really mind though since the fades are coming in quite nice.
