My mom sent me a card from Japan in early December that I still haven't received. She usually sends me a card along with $100 cash. I'm sure the dollar value of your package is substantially more but sadly this type of stuff happens. I'm guessing either someone stole my card or it got lost in the sea of mail from the X-mas rush. Anyway, hopefully you get your goods.
Sending cash in the mail is never a good idea.

Funny you mention this. I found an old x-mas card my mom sent a year or two ago and it was sent in a red envelope and she wrote "X-mas card" on the front
It's a miracle it even arrived. But, she's Japanese and isn't familiar with mail etiquette, so i'll have to mention it to her next time. -

Sorry to everyone for my rant… just wanted to open a discussion if possible
I am the only one who hate sneakers???
I don't know why but i don't like them... i am not even in my 30 but i see lot of same age friends and colleagues wearing them basically in every occasions (not a work thankfully).. nike, adidas, those kind of pairs. but i just can't wear them anymore, i feel like being a 14 years old kid with them.
Someone share this opinion?

Don’t hate them but love them a lot less than I used to. I used to try and wear nothing but and was sad when winter came and I had to wear something more robust. I now only put them when I’m on holiday or need going out to play with the kids in summer. After going over to custom boots I don’t even find them comfy anymore.

Ugh. Sick as a dog right now. Coughing and scratchy throat but no fever luckily

However i exxagerated... no hate but i just don't like them. I agree they are the best for summer and generally for informal occasions, etc... I also abused them till 20 years old but now i don't know, i feel a bit too out of place with them on... i am talking about the high ones, full of fancy colors and logos...or maybe i am just a bit ignorant about them?
You sneakers lovers, can you suggest me good brand pair that is also elegant enough? Not too low, not too high, mono-colored and without any logo? A pair that can be used also at work for example? Maybe i can start reusing them...
