Picked one of these up from SELA. It’s really nice. Believe the hype. Would love to see an unbleached, natural cotton version at some point. Maybe even organic.  ???

Just received shipment of one of these yesterday and everyone is speaking the truth here, these things are very nice.  Easily my favorite thermal so far.

What is everyones experience regarding shrinkage with these in the wash?  I skimmed through the thread but didn't see any info on it.  I have a L (v2) and the fit is spot on perfect for a base layer but I can't afford much shrinkage, if any at all.  I could size up to an XL to wear it as more of a sweatshirt over a T type thing.  I'm very very pleased with how the Large fits though.

It's a damn shame the Olive never happened.

No shrinkage. They stretch a little with wear. I find that mine are trim enough to wear alone on day one but stretch enough to wear over a tee on day two. Wearing mine today, funnily enough.

            Good info.  Thanks Neph.

@Giles are you guys considering doing other colors at all even though the olive didn't pick up enough steam from retailers?

Just curious what people do with sozing on there. Most of my IH shirts are a 48 to 48.5 chest, and the XL on this is a 27, so that should be okay for wear underneath?

                    Ohhhhhh that constitutional stitching!

Not sure if this helps much but I'm generally an XL in IH westerns across the board, L to XL in work shirts, and I went with a L on this one.  It fits perfect as a base layer and I can't afford much shrinkage at all.  I could probably go XL and wear it a little baggier as more of a sweater over a T.  I'm very happy with the L fit though.

Thanks. My thoughts too. I am normally a xxl in shirts depending on the cut of that shirt. The XXL in the 1700 seemed like it would bunch up a bit under a shirt, so it seems I made the right choice.

I actually went all the way down to M for a snug fit on one (I’m also XL in shirts). But you can size down one for sure. It’s a forgiving material.

I take a size XL in IH Westerns and CPO's and dropped down to a Large for this one.  Really pleased with the overall fit with good sleeve and body length for my 6ft 1" frame.

Just got mine today and quickly put it on. I got the XL, normally and XXL in shirts. But I bought it for an undershirt. Slim in the body and good room in the sleeves. I think if I had gone for the XXL it might have been too roomy. So now to decide on the black version. And, along with some others in here, I would like to see an unbleacher version so I can have it indigo dipped.

Sizing down is definitely an option as they're pretty roomy and do stretch. I should've done that on my brace >:(.

This is my Medium. I’m an XL in shirts. I wear it alone or over a thin singlet. As you can see it is a little short in the body, but this is desirable to me. It is a touch short in the arms but this is not an issue either as I always drag my sleeves up. I have the black in Large too.

Cheers buddy, I’m pleased with it. I was also a little lucky as I very nearly bottled it and went large on this too but took the risk in the end.

A natty cotton version would be brilliant as would olive, brown, indigo etc.

That's true, e.g. more olive stuff in the cut and sewn section would fit perfectly in IH's lineup.
