Has anyone ever washed the loving hell out of a pair of the flagship signature 21oz IH denim?

I'm considering buying a new pair to intentionally wash like crazy (and potentially even dry) for the heavily washed look, and I'm curious what to expect in terms of shrinkage with the signature 21oz denim. Trying to decide if it makes sense to size up and if so, by how much.

                    Any thoughts or experiences?

I wash and dry all my IH jeans on the regular. I don’t think sizing up would be necessary on the 21oz. There’s a little shrink, but a lot of stretch

I also wash all my IH jeans about every 10 days or so. Some go in the drier some don't. My 5 year old 555-01s can be seen on that thread. I'm much more into a Vintage type of fade than a Contrasty one.

@Jett129 Do you size up to account for shrinkage?

Nope,Because even if it tightens up in the drier, the 21OZ denim stretches right back out. You need to account for shrinkage in the length,so I go about .5 inch longer.

For the look you are after try a pair of the 'N' natural indigo/organic cotton denim, for example :

                              https://www.ironheart.co.uk/bottoms/ih-555n.html

Mine have shrunk about a half size with a quite a few washes now…

                              Pride of Japan :-)

Not sure if it qualifies, but my pair has been machine washed and tumble dried a dozen or so times over the years. As sabregirl and jett said, no substantial shrinkage and they stretch right back after each wash/dry cycle.

ebay question, how long would you guys wait before reporting someone as a non-paying bidder? According to ebay's policy, I can report a non-paying bidder if they haven't paid in 48 hrs. It's been almost 72 hours and i've contacted the buyer twice and have not gotten a reply at all. The guy also has zero feedback. Really frustrated with people like this.

                                        Question regarding the Crimbo-sales:

Say I fancied a pair of jeans that's in stock but regrettably not in my size at the present moment, with a restock scheduled for sometime soonish; would I be able to take advantage of the sales price by purchasing now and IHIWYHI (I'll have it when you have it)? I understand this goes against the "items in stock" principle and I fully expect to be told off, but there you have it and I needed to confirm. 😶

I’d imagine the «items in stock» principle exists precisely to make that kind of manipulation of the sale a non-starter.

What actually prompted my question i.e. why I thought it's not entirely clear cut was the fact that during the autumn sales, size-exchanges were allowed also in a situation where the the size to be exchanged to wasn't in stock at the time of purchase.

This sounds rather pathetic/extreme poverty and while not being proud, I'm not hiding anything either. 😎
