Gotta see First Man.
What a terrible, unspeakable tragedy @manufc10
Reading stories like that makes me sick to my stomach.

^A terrible crime no doubt but I don't think it's the chick from Kids: the actress was described as being 17 at the time (1995), whereas the perpetrator was 29 at the time of the crime (2017).
I'm not 100% convinced it is her either and I'm thinking it's just a wikipedia type error on the interwebs. However, she looks quite a bit younger than 17 in the movie to me and it is possible the age of the suspect in the article is an error as it's not uncommon for that to happen either.
Either way, it would be interesting to find out for sure and if is an error it should probably be fixed on the Google search so people don't keep seeing that mugshot when you Google "cast of KIDS". Kind of a big error.

@manufc10 Sarah Nicole Henderson is 29, and kids was released in 1995 - 23 years go! so safe to say it's a different Sarah Henderson, as she would have been aged 4-6 years old during shooting (of the film, not her kids!), Tragic story though, tragic.

Exactly, which is why I said it's either not the same person or the suspects age is incorrect in the article which is always a possibility.

”Overlord” - Ostensibly a horror movie with nazis and zombies, this was not horror and there were no zombies.
I’m not sure if they thought they were making a zombie flick, or if that wasn’t their intention to begin with and it’s just been spun that way in the media, but it was a let-down all the same.
It wasn’t a total waste of 2 hours and some 15€, but it was way more boring than it should and could have been considering the subject matter. And did I mention the zombie-angle had no wheels.

Decided to go with a classic-

Anyone who hasn’t seen Mandy yet needs to question their life choices. If you don’t know what it is, do yourself a favor and don’t even watch the trailer. Just sit down in a dark room with a big TV with big speakers and perhaps a nice, big bowl and press play. And thank me later. ???

Glad I'm not the only one who enjoys a bowl of ramen during film viewings
Looks interesting.
Can't tell if I'd love or hate "Kin," but the fact that the "Stranger Things" and "Arrival" folks are involved is promising.

That's the thing, it got lukewarm reviews so it makes me hesitate. But, I try to reserve judgement of a movie until i've actually seen it. I like that Mogwai did the soundtrack too

I've watched all the Harry Potter movies lately and I can say they're nice entertainment despite being partly cringy.
Some Rifftrax accompaniment makes them all far more enjoyable, in my opinion!

If this ever gets made let's hope Sir Ridley doesn't make a mess of this one too ???

Yuck.
And what's the author hemming and hawing about with the jockey? Isn't it the lone engineer that sits in that seat, to then fly the ship, before he crashes at the end of Prometheus?
What is with the android lore with him anyways.
He discredited the queen too, because he has an android making the aliens…..

I think making sequels and prequels to films first screened 30-40 years ago is always risky. The audience and cinema generally have changed hugely in that time, and just like when a music artist covers a favourite classic, most prefer the original but some new listeners will prefer the cover.
That said, I can't recall ever watching a prequel that I enjoyed more than the original. Could be wrong.
